I would not call 7-8kWh / day a "slight draw". That's what we've observed leaving sentry mode on while away from the house. Recent updates claim to have cut this down some, but we haven't re-checked it. Keeping most of the car on just to process and store images is very silly and wasteful....
Wow! 7-8 kwh that is a lot. I had no idea that system used that much energy. It wouldn't take long to drain your battery.

Except sentry alone doesn't cause that kind of draw.

@fhteagle - in your post where you claim 7-8 kWh for Sentry mode didn't also have Cabin Overheat on? Where are you and what was the temp the day you measured 7-8?

When I run my dual channel dash cam during the day while at work, I'll lose 2-3% charge from the HVB as I have them plugged in and set the ppob to stay on with truck off and a small 200W load that times on for 2 seconds every 5min to prevent ppob from shutting down.
