I guess I understand why they wanted the Lightning to stand out, but honestly wish they had stuck with the stock head and tail lights, especially now that they've discontinued the Lightning. It would have been really nice to pick up any F150 head or tail light from a junk yard when a replacement...
I realize for the fridge this is probably best so that you don't overload that circuit, but if I was just looking to put a 12v plug in the center console and wanted both to remain live, since I wouldn't use both at the same time, and body know if there's a y-adapter you could tap in here?
Drag from wind goes up by speed squared, adding that boxy sail in the back makes it even more evident, so even just dropping from 70 down to 65 will give you better efficiency. While that increases drive time, it does reduce the charge time, so you might end up ahead.
That limit is actually the service limit because of the meter base passthrough / transfer switch, so yes it does matter because it affects your entire service limit. Which is why I was glad to see this option doesn't limit you to 150A like the earlier one.
There was a product that came out... year or two ago? similar to this, might have even been the same company. Drawback to that one was it was limited to 150A service, I'm glad to see this one is capable of 200A service.
After I posted that I noticed in your other thread that you had more equipment, but thanks for confirming that minimum, and your write-up. I'd looked into the system about a year ago when it was still Pointguard, but was having a hard time confirming details, and none of the installers around me...
The one you linked says it's for a 2025 Lightning, was there something about it you didn't like and were looking for something different?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H2RMNZ8 I picked this up, which currently says it that it does NOT fit in a 2024 Lightning, however when I purchased it it said...
So it looks like you have 4 components total, LoadHub, Energy Controller, V2X and 1 battery? Are you able to do load transfer to take advantage of Time-of-Use and pull power from the battery and/or truck during peak times and then recharge both off-peak?
Quick edit, looks like checking out...
https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/accurate-cad-files-for-headlights-and-taillights-or-anyone-with-a-3d-scanner.20395/ looks like it might be possible to obtain the CAD files from Ford.
I also wish people here knew how to signal out of a roundabout, or merge into one, or were concerned enough to worry that other people could see their signal... they added one leaving our neighborhood, and we've got people who signal INTO them, people who wait for the whole roundabout to be...
You are correct that Ford changed the frequency on those, I think it's a new radio in one of the control modules because the fob frequency also changed. The radio in the truck will only read the one frequency, so unfortunately your only option would be to purchase ones that are compatible with...
It's really going to depend on your battery maintainer, and how they handle being connected to the battery AND powered on, while your truck is also maintaining the battery. Most battery maintainers are naturally off when you're driving the vehicle, since you have to unplug to move them.
The...
I really enjoy the added time on my commute that BlueCruise stays enabled, however 1.4 ping-pongs in the lane more than that previous version, and it also hugs the right side of the lane more, both make it hard to enjoy the drive with BlueCruise enabled. Also I really wanted it to handle the...
