That was me! I need to go back to see if everything is working again. Will report back! Starting to think there might have been more going on.

Good point, and didnt someone just find that Ford deleted their payment info?

I meant to post about this sooner, so sorry I didn’t. It might’ve saved you some trouble. I’ve had this experience twice, and it is a Ford related software issue. To fix it, lock the truck, walk away for a few minutes, come back, plug it in, and it will start charging. This happened to me a few weeks ago for the second time and it’s very annoying, hopefully Ford can fix it with an OTA.

The supercharger shows available in the phone app but not in the screen app,
Unless I'm not understanding what you are saying, the public charging app in the truck was retired a year or so ago and the data was supposed to be integrated into the Ford Nav. - it SUCKS horribly. It's almost worthless.

The Ford phone app is normally quite good, however you are right that at least so far, Rivian stations do not show at all from Ford. I just checked four of them that I know of, and none show up. I assume it is only showing stations in the Blue Oval Charging Network:

Yes, this TinyURL takes you to a Ford.com address without being three lines long...

IMHO, the most non brand specific information source is PlugShare. It pretty much shows everything, so you do have filter a bit to get what you are looking for.

There's a public charging button in the screen that opens a specific search box in the nav. I don't have anything previous to compare it to, so if it used to open something seperate, yes that's gone.
It has the same filters as the phone app. The nav in general is clunky and annoying and talks too much, but the charger search isn't any worse than the normal search.

Has anyone successfully used the Mercedes-Benz chargers that are at some Buc-ee's? I've seen them at the Robertsdale, AL and Auburn, AL Buc-ee's. Also, I did not know that the Rivian chargers are available to use. There are some Rivian chargers in Slidell, LA but I couldn't get them to work with my Lightning about a month ago.

Yes, and you can confirm any charger as working in PlugShare. Just look at the reviews.

Rivian opened their network a while ago. Slidell is Rivian Only. That's why you use PlugShare. You can set PlugShare to Hide Tesla Only and Hide Rivian Only.

Use the high speed Mercedes Chargers at Robertsdale Buccees all the time. They are on the ChargePoint app. Thus I never tried the Tesla chargers.

For those that fast charge a lot, Tesla's membership for $12.99 provides a 25 - 30% discount. In one charge that's paid for. Almost always cheaper than the competition.

As I have said several times so far, the in vehicle searching for charging in Ford Nav is damn near worthless. The charger search in the Ford phone app is pretty good except as note previously it only displays stations in the Blue Oval Charging Network (see my earlier message for a link to the list). By far, the most complete source of information is PlugShare.com - either their phone app or website from a compute. Read previous Check-ins will give a very good indication of the state of a station.

Yes, I was there on the 29th and used the MB chargers for the first time. You need to activate the charging differently than just the plug and charge. I did it with my credit card, but apparently there's another easier way. There's a thread here from the last week or so that talks about that.

Open Ford App, click on charging, select charger, activate...

Been using superchargers through the Tesla app since I got my adapter early last year, and I haven't considered going back to plug and charge, the Ford app, etc., overall it's been a much more consistent, trouble free experience. Since telling Google maps to allow NACS (Non Tesla) I've had no issues with it routing me to incompatible stations. I also tell it I have the membership as I subscribe most of the time when I need to fast charge as I only really fast charge on road trips. I had ABRP premium but they removed the more stops option and some other options I liked in the big update so I've mostly stopped using that too.

Also, semi-unrelated, but I'd rather slam my you know what in the Frunk rather than willingly use another EA station, they are the charger of last resort in my book.

I've only ever used the Tesla app for using Superchargers so I can get the discounted rate with a membership. I had a problem with a Supercharger in Mountain Home Idaho this last week, that I had successfully charged at just the week prior. Somebody else was sitting next to me and mentioned they had issues as well, and had to uninstall and reinstall the Tesla app to get it working again. I had enough charge left to just continue on to my destination (this was a bathroom stop and wanted to just top-up while we were there) so I didn't bother, and the next two Superchargers I stopped at worked without issue. Point being, it might be worth trying with the Tesla app, and if you're using that and having problems, might help to clear the data/cache and/or reinstall.

I have used the MB chargers at the Buc-ee's in Springfield Mo. Worked fine. Used the CC reader. I actually avoid Tesla chargers when reasonable. Elmo has enough money.
