Here’s a unique one. We produce a few tons of honey and when harvesting it’s nice to have a blower in the field to push the last bees out of the frames so they don’t end up back in the honey shed. Pre-Lightning we could have used a gas generator to power the blower but the noise and vibration irritates both the bees and the beekeepers not to mention having to lug it around. So, we powered the blower with an inverter connected to the 12 volt battery in the ICE truck. No matter what anyone thinks, this takes a toll on a 12 volt battery and I replaced them regularly. Now, we just let the Lightning power the blower. Works great!

I was doing an electrical update to the 7 unit apartment building in Mammoth Lakes, CA. This is a ski resort in the Sierra Nevada mountains at 7000 feet. We needed to remove the main electrical panel and replace it with 2- 400 amp main panels. This required SCE, the electricity provider to remove the electric lines to the building while work was in progress and a final inspection done. This took 2 days and night in the mountains can get into the 30's. I brought my Lightning Pro to supply all the units with power overnight for the refers and lighting. I bought 7 long 12 gauge extension cords and a 240 volt splitter to give everyone power. It turned out that all the tenant were ok without power except 2 units, so I just gave them eco flow batteries inside their units. This would have been a great YOUTUBE video but it did not happen. I was prepared.....
