Hey Guys. I installed a leveling kit in November. Ever since my bluecruise would ping pong at any speed.

Long story but I added Comma AI self driving. I am having the same issues with the comma AI unit. It ping pongs bad. At first. Any speed above 55 it would ping pong. I have data logs and a guy from f150 forum is helping me sort through the issues. At first we tried changing some code. It improved slightly. I could get up to about 65 70 before it would ping pong on straight roads. It drives perfectly around curves.

I just got the truck re aligned today and I found out the shop that lifted my truck did a crappy alignment. So after the re align it's better but it still ping pongs.

I tried blue cruise again and it's like it's the same issue as thr AI. So for sure I don't have to get the camera aligned. It has nothing to do with that. The comma AI has its own camera and I can calibrate the system at any time. Both the comma and the ford system are having the same issues leading me to believe it's something to do with the alignment.

Does anyone with functioning bluecruise have pictures of your alignment settings after the lift that you can share with me? Especially if you have a lariat with a tow package
*** I have a 2 inch leveling kit***

Thank you
I have the same trim and package as you. My situation was the same. I had to go into the dealership and have them adjust the camera settings to account for the leveling kit. After that was done it continued to do it for a little bit and then stopped. My conclusions were that it must have self learned the new settings and calibrated more through me driving. No idea is if this is what happened but it seemed logical enough in my mind. Also one thing I’ve noticed is that it does not like the HOV lane, the different lines seems to screw it up. So I would recommend using normal lanes with regular dash lines on each side. I would definitely remove the AI thing though and start testing with fresh factory settings.

My ping pong issue was fixed. I had a recall on my truck about a year ago where they reflashed the ipma. I also think they reset the fender height value but im unsure as they did not acknowledge on the service ticket. (i'm pretty sure they did). The ping pong issue i had was substantially corrected.

When I recalibrated my IPMA with FDRS after the level, FDRS specifically tells you that it is not designed for this and if the suspension was modified, to not measure the wheel arch height and return the vehicle back to stock.

I completely ignored the message, measured the wheel arch heights and entered it in FDRS and proceeded with the calibration and it worked perfectly.

FDRS has changed a lot since I did that well over two years ago, but if I had to guess, it would still work the same way now.

Sorry I searched. Bouncing between the lanes.

Sorry I searched. Bouncing between the lanes.
So my experience is different but applies.
bought my truck with a front camera that would not calibrate. The dealer committed to fix it and their word was good. The. Dealer had installed a non-factory windshield and the truck had a leveling kit. 4 dealers tried to calibrate the camera and failed. All attempts failed. They all said it had to be returned to factory. They would not calibrate to anything other than factory measurements. The truck had a lot of torque steer, front would raise up if you floored it.
So the windshield was replaced with a factory part. The leveling kit was removed.
Blue cruise works perfectly. My cruise and advanced cruise works. All safety systems now work.
So if blue cruise is funky my bet is a lot of your safety systems are funky too. One tech refused to alter factory settings because he did not want to be responsible. There are many lifts and tires installed. Just remember my experience was it all had to come back to factory.
your experience my vary.

One of those setting is emergency avoidance. That may not be the exact terminology. That safety system also had a warning that it was not functioningBut like I said your experience may be different. The actual facts may be different.
I chose not to put the leveling kit back on. I did experience about .2 kWh increase on the hyway. That makes no sense either.
Just something’s to think about.

I wonder if reinstalling the front leveling kit would ruin everything, or if all would work fine.
