It sucks that it wasn’t noticed, but instead of going with $2000 for it. Get one used or off of eBay. You can get a single side for about $200. They’re a piece of cake to replace, I upgraded mine to the power folding, extension the tow mirrors for less than $1000 for both sides.
Mine has a cracked right side turn signal, I found a manual folding mirror for $159 on Ebay that I was going buy just for parts. Just not sure if I can take it apart and get it back together, do you know of a guide to do this?

It’s the same as the ICE F-150, and really easy to do.

You can YouTube a video for any guide, the tow mirrors install guides are helpful.

Short overview:
Pry the plastic off using a pry tool. Be gentle, don’t break the clips.

Unscrew 3 nuts.

Unplug mirror.

Remove mirror.

Execute in reverse.

Any update on this? I cracked my turn signal backing out of a side by side Tesla spot (fit on the way in but not the way out). Passenger mirror just caught the Tesla ev charger sign. It still works but I am concerned about water penetration. I'm also moving to the desert so if it's a pricy fix I'll put it off til I see rain reliably again.

You can’t order the frame. When I broke mine I bought a mirror off of ebay and rebuilt, pretty easy.

The mirror you need to basically pry it off push in on one side and pull on the other. My glass was cracked so I needed to replace that also. Probably google it and find a video.

I see this thread has new contributions. I recently replaced both my mirrors with power-folding mirrors. One of them, I had to mix & match components.

This is actually really not hard to do, as long as You are meticulous and You carefully observe and think about what step to take next.

Every one of these mirrors has several sub-systems, and they are all built to "mix & match" for various trim levels. The camera sub-system can be fairly easily taken out of one mirror and emplaced on another mirror. Same with the colored or plain black mirror cap, with turn signals, with side spotlights, etc., etc., etc.

The "power folding mirrors for XLT" thread lists the Ford OEM codes that the little white back-of-housing paper labels have, somewhere about half-way through the thread, to decode which EBay mirror has which of these sub-systems.

Anyone still hesitating, pls DM me with questions and concerns.

I might also get around to listing my old manual XLT mirrors on the Marketplace... just haven't gotten around to it as they are plentiful on EBay. IMHO used perfectly good manual folding mirrors with many of the components discussed here should run $50 - $150 for a decent deal, + shipping.
