Hey everyone,

I'm a long time reader of this forum and I finally got around to starting the mod on my '24 XLT SR. Earlier today I made my own "custom harness" from the OEM harness and installed the Radar unit. I passed in the CCM wires directly through the main firewall by the drivers side. This was by far the hardest part, and the sun had already set so I called it a night.

I'm missing the wires on the drivers side so I will also be directly connecting the IPMA to the CCM. I will continue working on this tomorrow morning.

I suspect my truck just needs a little bit of time to detect the CCM module but to confirm, all I did was pin the connector shown in my post above (which is missing wires in the 9, 18, 19, 20 position) and directly connect my wires from the CCM that I ran in through the Firewall there, correct?

Funny enough, I'm a software engineer and feel confident about the ForScan part of the guide, can't wait to get there lol. Just want to verify that my understanding of the Pins going to the IPMA connector is correct. Thanks in advance everyone.

I don't remember which color wires go to which number pins, but yes, you have the basic idea.

I think the correct wire mapping is about midway through this thread, or search my posts from last year in this thread. I ended wiring backwards and my CCM didn't show up in Forscan, I had to swap my wires around to get it to show up. If your CCM doesn't show up in Forscan, double and triple check your wiring to make sure you didn't do what I did.

Understood! I have a feeling I have the wires connected incorrectly too. I'll go out and take a look here shortly.

The connectors I bought from Digikey as tagged in this thread are posted here again in case anyone reading this thread later needs it.

Another quick question for you: Does the bumper harness connect to the passenger kick panel cables, then get routed to the drivers side panel (C265 which is missing wires and the connectors for us)? Then is C265 connected directly to the IPMA which is why when we add Pins and the wires directly from the CCM it can communicate with the IPMA?

If yes, then wouldn't another potential solution be to wire this CCM directly to the IPMA above the rearview mirror?

Thanks again!

The IPMA in the Lightning is above the driver's side left knee, not above the rearview mirror .

I'm not really following your question...

If you made your own harness to the CCM, you run the 4 new wires from the CCM to the correct pins that you add to the black plug of the IPMA that is behind the dashboard - above the driver's side left knee. You shouldn't be dealing with any other wires or harnesses other than things that you have to remove for access and then reassemble.

Sorry for the confusion earlier, I didn’t realize the IPMA was above the drivers knee in the lightning. This mod is even more simple than I thought. It is almost beneficial to not have the connectors prewired so you have an excuse to directly wire the CCM to the IPMA lol.

Either way, I wired everything exactly as you said and then connected Forscan to the truck. I made the singular change to the IPMA and the CCM got detected instantly. I made the rest of the changes from a spreadsheet I believe @B177y had uploaded and it worked like a charm. I calibrated the sensors using ForScan and everything is as described.

Thanks for the help everyone, and especially @B177y.
