This is admittedly a cosmetics question, but I'm looking for a set of new tires that remain reasonably light (<50lbs), yet provide more of the 'big tire' look that can only be found with E-rated 35s or 295/60r20 tires.

My wheels are 20x9.5 Vision Tactical +6mm.
I would consider swapping wheels to 18s or different offset, if it gives me a better tire option. I have a 2" RC front level and 1" rear RC drop.

I like the idea of Nitto Grappler G3s in one of the following sizes:

305/55r20 - aggressive, but stock height.
275/65r20 - true 34" size, but narrower contact patch.
275/60r20 - stock size. I know these fit.
285/55r20 - shorter, wider than stock.

Let me know which of these you'd choose, or if I'm missing some other size that would fit the bill.

I reserved a set of G3s in 275/65r20 to be installed Wednesday. Would love to also test fit the 305/55r20s while I'm there. Really torn on which is the better setup to get closer to the 295/60 look. Also wondering if there would be some on-road handling benefits of the 305s. Or maybe some wide tire bad habits too.

I think the ones you ordered are the best out of the options given. Same overall width as stock but 1.1" taller OD (whilst getting close to the 295/60 34" OD - but lacking the extra width).

With your wheel offset, this will negate any possible rubbing gotchas with 35".

Did you need tires yet, or simply upgrading for the look? You can still get non e-rated big tires...but to your point earlier, I'm in the smaller wheel size size, more rubber camp.

I realize this is a big departure from my previous tire size selections, but I just stumbled across the Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT in LT315/70R17 (52lbs). This is the stock Bronco OE tire, and is a slightly lower load rating than our stock tire. Otherwise, it would totally meet my goal of filling the wheel well (and then some).

Anyone have thoughts on this? I believe I have the larger 10k tow pkg brake calipers so finding a 17" wheel that clears may be fun. Thoughts on the tire?

Tire Installation day follow up: After all that, I went with the 305/55r20s after seeing them side by side with the 275/65s. I'm a sucker for the wider, lower profile look. They're aggressive with the 6mm offset, but fit (barely) with no trimming. I did grind 1/4" of the black plastic air dam wrap around anyway just to give a tiny bit of breathing room where the front corner of the tire passes the air dam while approaching full lock.
No regrets, but if I could do this again, it would be with a 25-30mm offset stockist. keep it slightly more stock like.

Pics coming in daylight.
