I’m looking for VINs from trucks that have BlueCruise enabled and working.

I want to download the as-built data myself and compare the Gateway/GWM 716 configuration.

One thing I’m checking is whether working BlueCruise trucks have this kind of block:

[mapConfiguration]
mapName = NONE

If your truck has working BlueCruise, please share or DM the VIN.

@Jesse-Infotainment may have an opinion here, but Official BC has some kind of check it does to work only on "approved roads". I'd like to know more how this works and really what the process for Ford is to "approve" certain roads. Like, is there literall a group of testers out there who have the ability to activate BC on every raod then give feedback on how it performed before it's "approved" for everyone else.

What you likely need to do is not waste any of your time on BC and just use LKA & ACC which work on ALL roads that the machine vision camera decides is good enough (most all roads). This is what I've always had in my XLT and honestly it works great. I've created a Steering Wheel Troque Anti-Nag device that allows you to drive hands free. It works great and I and a few others are testing it right now.

Does your vehicle have the ACC radar and LKA already?

Yes, I use it all the time. But have not installed any anti nag device.

This is partly a crusade to restore all functionality that they robbed from us in the eu conversion. And learn something new :)

I get it, I'm just afraid whatever mechanism they use to tell the IMPA that a road is "approved" for BC is probably not economical for you to figure out. I suspect there is a request/response or a persistent flag from the APIM on the HS3 bus that is passed over to the FD bus and the IMPA watches it to know whether to allow BC or not.

This is definitely not going to just be a configuration hack unless there is some kind of test mode like I was talking about that allows BC anywhere. But, if that was the case we'd probably know about by now. Simply restoring your truck to the same as a NA truck won't help you b/c there are no roads where you are that have been marked "approved" in the APIM.

There is actually BC roads here. And the US side imported trucks use BC on them. I have a BC subscription now, but no BC map version.

Interesting, no way they tested over there, and/or tested every road BC operates on. You think they just have some kind of computer program that decides and marks roads "approved" for BC?

I still enjoy my DIY BC, over paying anything as a subscription,, I'd spend $1k on CommaAI before I'd pay Ford a subscription. I have many opinions about software features that are fully installed, but just kept from working via software. It's a hard BS principle for me. I'd be happy to pay for a software update if it was totally transparent what changes/upgrades were made, but it needs to be a case-by-case decision that I as the owner should make. OTAing updates that I'm not able to use without a monthly subscription just rubs me the wrong way,, I won't do it.

Also, the exact same IMPA and BC software is what lane centers you with LKA and ACC,, There is no difference that I can see in performance once you trick the truck to not nagging about steering wheel torque. And it's free. And it still benefits from the BC updates b/c it uses that same IMPA models and code.

I got 3 years of BC trial, ending in July 2028.

I believe this problem is connected to my car not receiving any OTAs. And I want some of the new features, like ppo when truck is off.
