Clear all DTC's with forscan and see if the AC issues persist. It may be a stored code from before you had the board. If the AC still doesn't work once you clear the codes, rescan and send me the codes in the DTC list.
Sorry for the late reply, it's been a busy day.
What we are getting now is the AC is fully shutting off until the modules sit inactive for enough time to reset.
Previous reports were a delay in AC startup.
I want to put out there that I don't mind making the breakout board for those that are having issues that are making their life miserable (Lack of AC in the summer or other issues outside of normal startup issues).
The reason I cut off the boards;
1. I would rather you guys only have to...
Removing the long cable from the comma harness box resolves it, which is why I think it is related to the reflections. Seems like a fault fails to clear until the truck sits long enough for it to reset.
Edit for Clarification - seems like it is caused by reflections and we haven't been able to...
If you can't solder, just let us know and we can help make you one. We can't really root cause it until someone can pull DTC's from an affected truck and see what may be keeping the AC down once the reflections (Startup Errors) are resolved.
De-soldering wick helps a ton. I took forever to buy it and I will always have some with my kit now. The de-soldering pumps are handy too, just don't always work the best.
It's not someone I have seen outside of the Github thread. It sounds like he might pop up eventually if he knows about the Rivian folks talking about his (784 word) reflection explanation.
Yeah, he's a bit mad. From what I gather, he does deserve credit for pointing us in the right direction. He's just not advocating for himself in the most likeable way.
I honestly didn't see the whole github thread before I started working on the issue. My starting point was this thread and the...
I'm between two possible theories here,
1. You have a bad harness or box.
2. The CAN reflections are manifesting slightly different in your truck than what we normally see and are causing the one pedal to fault.
Option one doesn't make sense to me since the short cable resolves all of it for...
So an important thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't matter if the hardware is powered on. It matters if sunny pilot is up and controlling the signals and hardware.
From what I am gathering, you are having errors stick around after sunny pilot boots (When the camera opens and shows the...
