3.1 gen 2 doesn't exist anymore. Let's make it easy. Get a USB c 3.2 cable.

Anything 3.1 or above should work. The main concern is that they have the 20gbps transfer rate. Some 3.1 cables will have the 4 super speed pairs and some won't.

If you dont get the OEM comma cable, make sure you get a high quality USB 3.1 cable, you need all 24 pins available in the replacement cable. (Cheaply made ones won't have the ability to connect everything properly.)

I don't want to say too much since I don't have the final version in my hand yet, but make sure you guys are leaving your comma harness box in a somewhat accessible orientation during install.

You're right, I went back and read the post I was referencing and it was for 2024's before we understood how to check for TRON.

From what I have been reading, some of the early jobs are unencrypted. But it is a crap shoot so far.

The dashcam is decent, but the software isn't really refined to be used for that. There is a management site you can visit and click through the segments until you find what you are looking for, but don't expect it to log hard braking or collisions or anything.

I was able to recreate the issue with female to female adapter on the ipma side. Switch your breakout board so the female side goes to the ipma. I have a theory to what causes this. But ill have to pin it out to verify.

Let me get home and test more. Curious why yours cares about what orientation its in. Are you using comma power? Comma 3x, q4 harness?

It shouldn't make a difference. I tested both directions over a10 and a11. I will have to test with the boards with the GPIO. I wonder if they aren't 1:1 pass through.

What breakout boards are you using?

Remove the resistor that is across b2 and b3. You should only have a 120 ohm 1/4w resistor between a10 and a11.
