Did you get an error saying 1 pedal was disabled?
Agreed with Alan, clear the DTC's and see what happens for the service light. The bad cable would have crashed comms between modules and is likely residual. It could also cause an error for 1 pedal if it is an actual error message and not just...
The issue is that a lot of companies will over sell their cables (Sometimes over build to compensate for other features). Its hard to say what will work and what won't.
The best way I can think to word it is, look for a cable that says its rated for USB C 3.2 Gen 2 (Leave me alone Alan ?) and...
Im guessing they are trying to avoid people pointing fingers at them when their amazon cables don't work with the comma because they are missing the super speed pairs.
Anything 3.1 or above should work. The main concern is that they have the 20gbps transfer rate. Some 3.1 cables will have the 4 super speed pairs and some won't.
If you dont get the OEM comma cable, make sure you get a high quality USB 3.1 cable, you need all 24 pins available in the replacement cable. (Cheaply made ones won't have the ability to connect everything properly.)
I don't want to say too much since I don't have the final version in my hand yet, but make sure you guys are leaving your comma harness box in a somewhat accessible orientation during install.
The dashcam is decent, but the software isn't really refined to be used for that. There is a management site you can visit and click through the segments until you find what you are looking for, but don't expect it to log hard braking or collisions or anything.
I was able to recreate the issue with female to female adapter on the ipma side. Switch your breakout board so the female side goes to the ipma. I have a theory to what causes this. But ill have to pin it out to verify.
It shouldn't make a difference. I tested both directions over a10 and a11. I will have to test with the boards with the GPIO. I wonder if they aren't 1:1 pass through.
Hi everyone,
During a recent root cause analysis, I identified that the inclusion of a second resistor in earlier versions of the harness/breakout board may result in lower-than-expected resistance. While this is unlikely to cause issues under normal conditions, there is a theoretical risk...
Order is in for the second round of adapters - expected lead time is 25 days plus shipping. I have made this round more robust, there will be ESD and EMI shielding and a higher copper weight for those that live in a hot climate like myself. They should be truly automotive spec. @Ajzride was also...
