I don't really want to hold onto peoples money while we are waiting to hit an order minimum. PCBWay has an option for me to sell the design through them I may do. I just worry a bit about not being able to personally check the quality and I'm not sure how the case would be handled, they do give...
I used ChatGPT to format the list and I think it deleted some of them. I'm going to go back through here in a bit and see what's missing. So much for making it easier.
If anyone is moving from the harness extension to the coupler, I could use an extension for testing. If you haven't ordered yet, I can give you a discount on the coupler.
I wonder how hard it would be to figure how to reprogram these with forscan if they truly behave differently. I would think we could compare the asbuilt with the ones that don't behave as expected.
They also likely don't get any meaningful data from the lightnings since they have the ICE F-150 working. It's a very small group of trucks in comparison and the lightnings use mostly the same parts (where it matters to them).
Yeah, I dont think the likelihood of them fixing it soon is even moderate. I just try to consider all outcomes before moving forward on something. The initial burst in orders was high, but has slowed down. I think there will be some surges on orders as things happen in the Comma community.
The...
I guess the best solution outside of fronting the cash and taking the risk of getting stuck with them. Does anyone have a PCB house inside the US they have worked with before?
The real bottleneck isn’t how fast I can print or assemble—I can knock out 50 cases overnight and finish assembly the next day (assuming I lightly neglect the family).
The bigger issue is balancing the lead time from the PCB house all the way to the end user. Import fees are rough right now...
Quick check-in on the Lightning coupler adapter
I've already sold 31 of the 50 Lightning adapters, The response has been great, and it's clear the demand is real — but I’m trying to figure out my next move before committing to another batch.
There’s always the chance Comma decides to roll...

I printed this one for my truck. I like the design since it gives you more space than the etsy version. I modified the print to not have the USB holes at the front. I wasn't a huge fan of cutting a brand new GSM up. But functionality and looks are...
It depends on the cubby you get. There are versions that you cut the mounting points off the shifter housing and drop in instead of bolting to the bottom.
I can't answer the second part, but yes, with the custom coupler, it will work the same as it would in the ICE F-150. As far as we are aware, the only reason the lightning is not supported is due to the reflections.
Hey all, just wanted to make a quick post for transparency,
First, the waiver.
I added that because, at the end of the day, this is a DIY mod that changes how the vehicle sees the CAN signals. It’s been super reliable in my testing, but since it does tap into vehicle systems, I needed to...
