In the name of science I can report that the Maverick NZ6P-7P155-AD, Escape PZ1P-7P155-HC and E-Transit NK4Z-7P155-D shifters work (for me, no guarantees or responsibility how it works for you) and appears to retain all functionality including Auto Hold.

The Escape dial has ambient light in the base of the dial, Maverick and E-Transit does not, neither of them have a mechanical / motorized return, it's just the LED indicator emulating that it's moving back.

I wonder how hard it would be to figure how to reprogram these with forscan if they truly behave differently. I would think we could compare the asbuilt with the ones that don't behave as expected.

Unfortunately the GSM is one of those modules that cannot be accessed with FORScan. At least for configuration. Can only see version numbers. No programming. :(

I mean, honestly makes sense due to the safety aspect of it. I was about to go check after I got my daughter back down.

I have a -U on order that I should be able to install the 2nd week of August. Fingers crossed that it works at all, I will let you know whether it is motorized or not.

Also, has anyone installed the bronco sport rotary shifter? I like the looks of that one better but don't see any part numbers for that in this thread. Is the shifter the same size as the other ones i.e. will the 3d printed parts fit either shifter?
I did. From a '21 model. It is motorized, and throws zero DTCs with all functionality proper and correct. Part# LX6P-7P155-LE. It may have not made the list yet. Oh, and I do use Auto-Hold and it works fine.

I used ChatGPT to format the list and I think it deleted some of them. I'm going to go back through here in a bit and see what's missing. So much for making it easier.

Can you confirm whether it was motorized or not too? Assuming it's a yes but just want to be sure.
Hi,

mine is not motorized if I understand the classifications being used here. To be clear the dial spins past drive. If the truck is in gear and I open the door it shifts to park automatically electronically but the dial doesn’t physically move. The auto hold feature also works the same as with the prior shifter - normally. Also when the truck is in neutral and I press the “L” button, the Neutral light blinks. That is everything I’ve noticed with the mod so far.

Working on troubleshooting, but I installed PZ1P-7P155-AC about a month ago and am currently having issues with it. I have caught it out of the corner of my eye at night "Shifting" to park while on the highway. I'm not sure if it is rebooting or what is going on. I had a DTC set for "Lost communications with the GSM" stored in the IPC, but it has been awhile since I have cleared codes. It hasn't caused any issues as of yet, but I am either going to swap to a motorized shifter or back to stock to see if it goes away at this point. It wouldn't be so obvious if my Comma didn't alert when it happens, so keep an eye on ya'lls just in case.

Questions
Where did you buy this part?
Was it new or used?
Were you having issues before the swap?

Here's my info. Posted this previously in this thread, but I think the forum issues wiped it out. I bought and installed this back in May before the prices went up.

My pics are in the main thread - Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder | Page 12 | Ford Lightning Forum For F-150 Lightning EV Pickup: News, Owners, Discussions, Community

  • Shifter Model: LX6P-7P155-LE
  • Designed for: 2021 Ford Bronco Sport
  • Price Paid: $70 shipped including tax.
  • New/Used: Used, but looks great. Bronco sport had 23k on it
  • Dial Free Spin: No, it stops at park and drive. I mention this because some of the rotary dials from Ford will free spin without stops. I think I read the 21 Bronco Sport had the stops while the 22 went to free spin.
  • Motorized: Yes, you can see the rubber ring/grip rotate to park when in drive and you open the door
  • DTCs: None found using CarScanner Pro (Android) with an OBDLink MX+
  • Testing: Drove around the block including backing out
  • Neutral Works: Yes
  • Backlight: There is an orange/red led that follows the PRND. The actual PRND have a light blue backlight AND a light blue ring near the base (goes completely around). The light blue appears to match the rest of the light blue lighting in the truck.
  • L button: While in neutral, puts it in the 30 minute neutral state.

I don’t think motorized vs. non motorized has anything to do with it at least.
I've been running the non motorized e-transit (brand new) version now for two months with no issues.

I am currently leaning towards it being a comma issue. I am working on it with the team. I still ordered a motorized shifter in case it is a bad shifter. I will let you guys know once I figure it out.

I would still be curious if anyone with the non motorized version would be willing to check their IPC DTCs (using Forscan) to see if there are "Lost comms with GSM" errors logged.
