  1. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

She told me on the call earlier in the day that they had been totally taken by surprise. Knew nothing about the adapters being replaced until they started getting calls from owners. So yeah.....
  2. Liking my Lightning... but no way to lock tailgate in down position?

I see that I misspoke earlier......when the bed extender is deployed the pins lock in the top holes, not the bottom. They lock in the bottom holes when the extender is stowed. Rather than taking a pic, this is from the installation manual for the extender:
  3. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

The lady I talked with yesterday was reading directly from the internal correspondence and said that was the part number that was being replaced. I asked her about serial numbers and she repeated that according to what she was just sent and read to me..it was that part number. No mention of...
  4. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Look for Part (P) 1434343-00-D….regardless of the serial number. That’s the batch that’s being replaced according to my discussion with the BEV team this afternoon.
  5. Liking my Lightning... but no way to lock tailgate in down position?

It does lock in the down position if you bought the bed extender. The bed extender has two pins that lock into the lower holes when it is deployed and that keeps the tailgate from flopping up and down.
  6. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Mine are the 27th and the 30th of May...even closer than yours. But, yeah....who knows which ones are in the 'bad batch'....
  7. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I have no idea which of those two serials are bad, or if both of them are. I only got one email, but I have two adapters. If I were guessing, I'd say the earliest one made (on the left) is the one that is in the suspect group, simply because others who've posted with dates made 4-5 days before...
  8. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I recommend those posting info about their adapters include the manufacturing date listed above the serial number on their adapter, rather than their reservation or delivery date. That way we can bracket what day(s) the bad batch(es) were made. As @TaxmanHog has posted, the five characters...
  9. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Read the 5 digits after the GF2 on your adapter and enter them here or here to find out what day your adapter was made.
  10. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I got one email from Ford the other day, but I own two adapters. Since they didn't say which one they were talking about, and I got both of them within a week of each other somewhere in the June-July timeframe, I can only hope they will identify which one of these they are interested in me...
  11. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

FAE:90004329 (assumed manufactured 27 May 2024 based on serial number) FAE:90006443 (assumed manufactured 30 May 2024 based on serial number) Received June timeframe with a week between deliveries.
  12. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Yes...but when the first adapters were ordered, tracked, etc. there were TWO emails concerning the statuses etc. of the TWO different adapters. So far today I've gotten only one email telling me that "Ford will supply a replacement adapter in the coming weeks and provide return instructions to...
  13. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Emmm.... I have two adapters...but got only one email (so far). Apparently I'm supposed to guess which one is the bad one?
  14. Not the use of ProPower I expected… charging 12v battery

If you have connected your charger up to the wrong points, you need to do the BMS reset procedure to reset the learned values you messed up. Installing a higher amp hour battery like the Die Hard sounds like a good idea but if the BMS is configured for the 36 amp hr battery we have now the...
  15. EAP Forums relaunch

I haven't so far. But maybe I wasn't invited back?
