Was checking out the 'Build and Buy' this morning and noticed that the gallery photos showed a Rapid Red Lightning, but the Lariat Build and Buy only shows this color selection:
So you can get two different 'whites', a silver, a black, and a blue that is so dark that it might as well be black...
Everybody can call their dealer's service advisor and ask them to pull up your VIN and tell you what open FSAs you have. It's right there on the main PTS 'Vehicle ID' screen.
When you update your truck with FDRS it doesn't 'sign off' the FSA in Ford's system.
I still have the IPMA and the FHCM FSAs open in the system, but I did the updates myself (a while ago).
I log on something like 0530 most mornings. By roughly 1630 my cached credentials are timed out.
So if I happen to be actually out working on either the car or the truck when that happens...and I'm in the middle of doing some update...I will get the continual login screen repeats until I...
And yesterday FDRS 42.5.6 was released.
So no more spamming the 're-run network test' to see if new updates show up I guess.
Also since this is a major (41. to 42.) update remember to tick the box for 'remove user settings' during setup so you don't end up with weird results. They may have...
What he's experiencing is what happens if you've logged on to FDRS and you're actually still logged on and working when your daily login timeout expires.
When this happens (at least with 41.5.6) you will have to completely close FDRS. Wait about 30 seconds and then reopen the program and log...
I'm due for a 20k service anytime now (FP wants me to schedule now). But since I only recently got new Toyo AT III EV tires they aren't due for rotation yet, and I've checked the fluids and do all of my own software updates. So. I guess my dealer can get credit for the IPMA and FHCM update FSAs...
Props to @rugedraw on his choice of battery disconnects. I bought one and it's far easier to configure it so that you don't have to stretch the negative cabling around to fit the disconnect. The terminal posts are right next to each other.
This thing is perfect, and the remotes had batteries in...
And now today, on a Sunday (?‍♂️), I've got a subset of the powertrain updates that showed up overnight.
They weren't there when I discovered I had a GVMS warning on my APIM yesterday.
Of course, the ACM and RFA are still with us....
EDIT: Updates done. PCM, SOBDMC, and BECM in that order...
My grill arrived yesterday afternoon.
This morning I got to work and took a pic of what was in the HVAC condenser intake area in the center of the front bumper. Not a great angle really, and the pic doesn't do justice with what was actually waaay back up in there. That condenser is pretty big...
I have a GVMS block on my Lightning's APIM this morning. I wasn't in any danger of having to do an APIM update anyway. And on my '23 MME GT, I have a GVMS block that showed up on both the APIM and the TCU as well. Again, there weren't any updates pending for either of those modules. And both...
I was surprised that the tailgate top cap is a one-time use item that actually gets broken when it's removed. So the lightbar is new and so is that top cap they put on there. There's apparently no way to get a trim tool in to release the molded clips, so they break off if you try lifting it too...
Well now I know there's at least two of us that sprung for the bed extender! I love that thing.
I sometimes deploy the extender toward the inside of the bed and lock it in place so I can use it that way to secure diesel jugs with bungie cords at the very back of the bed when I go to fill them...
