Texas is less restrictive. You can sit on your sofa and your Tesla shows up. YOU (LA) would have to drive out of state. That reduces the possible population. I suspect if you could find Tesla ownership ranked by state on a per capita basis, LA would be well below Texas.

A quick Google search shows this is not correct. In Texas, you can order it online and Tesla will deliver to your home from out of state. In Louisiana, you can order online but YOU must take delivery out of state and then drive or ship it home. IANAL

I would be shocked that you can't beat X-Plan. Also, with X-Plan you get any rebates, but you cannot negotiate any other discounts with the dealership.

Louisiana is in the bottom 10 states for EV adoption. Reasons: They didn't allow Tesla to sell in the state. 2017 law. Oil and gas industry is very powerful in the state. Corrupt politicians. Costco is putting in EV chargers at some locations.

If you don't want to drive, put the battery (via the jump posts on the passenger side) on a trickle charger overnight, then do the update. Or, put a battery charger on it for a bit, then try.

Plugged in and not charging does nothing for the 12v battery. For some updates, as high as 80%. Drive for 30 minutes, then manually apply the update.

20.7 is the max efficiency it will display. That doesn't mean you didn't get better efficiency. Specifically, if you add to the battery (which you do on prolonged downhills), your efficiency is infinity, as you're never using battery.
