What is your lifetime mi/kwh?
I only am getting about 2.0 mi/kWh with my 2024 Platinum With my previous 2023 Lariat ER I was getting 2.2 mi/kWh driving the same trips.
The 2 DTC Codes listed that are not archived codes both go back to HV Battery issue
Being that heater isn't working right perhaps the Coolant Valve is suspect.

I fear that if we abandon EVs as a country China will eat our lunch. They are so far ahead of us. I fear if we don't embrace EV's now we will never catch up.
40% of new vehicle sales in China are EVs and almost 100% of motorbikes are electric. Everyone who visits comments on how quiet the...
You may want to verify your charge āmiles added per hourā. With 60A/48A output charger the truck reports 10.7 kWh the battery accepts. To get 33 miles per hour your drive efficiency would need to be 3.0 mi/kwh.
When I charge on my 60A/48A āchargerā I only get 23 Miles added per hour charged...
I remember that in the past I was getting a notification on my iphone when Walk Away Lock activated.
My PaaK and WAL hasnāt worked for a while, until last week, when Ford Mobile tech figured out the BlueTooth antenna in the driver door had failed. The handle was replaced and now itās working...
Not my house.
It was permitted. It was part of a new construction home where the home owner acted as his own GC. The electrician was hired by home owner as a sub contractor to do ALL the wiring.
The homeowner made several mistakes where things needed to be torn out and redone because of...
You have to manage power for sure as with any small portable generator. The Lightning will run a good 2-3 days managing power.
At our cabin I can run most everything except I have to only use one of the 240v appliances at a time. The AC, the Hot Water Heater, the well pump etc. So for...
Jim,
Thank you for confirming my posting that if n=1 the MOA is about 10%. Most "normal" people wouldn't understand the formula, like the two of us nerds do. :)
Sort of like trying to explain what the 68-95-99.7 Rule "One, Two and Three standard deviations (Ļ) of the mean" is to a normal...
not complicated at all.
here is my truck plugged into my cabin during one of the many power outages due to downed trees taking out overhead power lines
A sample size of 100 from a population of 21,000 is actually statistically significant. A 100 reply sample size from a 21k population will probably net a ±10% Margin of Error.
That is from my Six Sigma Certification days.
HUMMM.
It may not be a type that is permitted to be used for NEC applications. But who knows what Louisiana allows. If it passed permit inspection you should be OK.
The following is from the UL Guide Information for "Boat Cable" (BDFX)
We have a Universal Connector in my house garage on an 60 amp circuit. When it is set up in Tesla Install software you set the breaker size to 60 and output is set to 48 amps. It charges at 11.6 kWs. We have no issues charging our Lightning or our Teslas.
At our cabin we are limited to a 50 amp...
It wasnāt my house. I was advising my friend with a new EV who was having HIS new house built. He was acting as his own general contractor and the electrician was a sub contractor he hired.
When he called me and told me that the wire had been run I asked his to verify it was not NM-B Romex...
No, on the original handle neither the lock button or the door handle open sensing was responding. Now with the new handle both sensors are responding perfectly.
Now when I approach the truck on the driver side with my phone in my front pocket the power running boards extend, confirming that...
I had same conversation with an electrician who was wiring my friends new home. They were going to use 6 AWG Romex to hard wire his 60 amp Wall Connector. He said the do it all the time. I insisted he wire it with THHN in conduit or SEU CU 6-6-8 cable. He finally agreed to wire it with THHN...
@97WhiteCobra
George,
Iāve owned 9 EVs in last 10 years so I have lots of experience. We routinely travel to our cabin from our house at least 3 times a month. Itās a 125 one way trip and we have hard wired chargers at both homes. We donāt tow anything so for us the Lightning is perfect. so...
