Nice!

I just hit the half way point rolling over 50k this week. I feel very much the same as you. If something where to happen to it, I would only want to replace it with another Lightning.

I'm no @Helium , but I'm close. Just crossed 100k last week on my '23 Platinum. Battery SOH (I know it's a made-up number) reported by both FDRS and pulling the PID is 99%. I haven't seen any noticeable range reduction, so I believe it.

To answer the usual questions.
1) I am always plugged into my garage charger with the setting at 80% for the typical day. I will charge to 100% before (and on) long road trips. (80% at fast chargers). It an FCSP set to full power (80A).
2) I use fast chargers on long road trips. Doesn't seem to affect the health (obviously).
3) I would buy it again in an instant, but am disappointed that the new models can only charge at 48A at home. 80A makes a big difference when you have a turnaround time, or want to add the last 20% to get 100%.
4) I do tow a teardrop camper around from time to time. Best of both worlds. If the campground has power, I fill my truck. If I'm in the forest, I still have A/C. :)
Haha Your setup sounds like mine... FCSP @ 80 amps and a teardrop that we tow a lot. I'm at "only" 76,000+ miles now. I'll have to step it up

have you use an OBD + CarScanner to look at reported SoC vs actual kWh remaining? I think there's some curve to the reporting so that it helps users not reach too low on charge (reporting a lower SoC near 0% so actually go charge).
That is a good suggestion,
I own a decent scan tool (yeah kids and college required some cheap transportation and advanced self-performed maintenance back in the day) I have never put the scan tool on the Lightning to date, but thought about it a few times...maybe after supper...

What is your lifetime mi/kwh?

I only am getting about 2.0 mi/kWh with my 2024 Platinum With my previous 2023 Lariat ER I was getting 2.2 mi/kWh driving the same trips.

I haven’t tracked entire lifetime, but 2.0 is about right. I believe the bigger wheels (and possible extra cooling loop) on the platinum is what drags it down.

Keep in mind that efficiency is going to vary greatly depending on driving route (highway vs city), climate (cold north vs warm south), and weather (always windy, rain, snow, etc...).

Down in sunny southern AZ, my lifetime is 2.5 but that doesn't tell the whole story. Most of my miles are my commute, with nets 2.7 for much of the year, dropping to 2.3 in the summer when I use more of the A/C to keep me (and the battery) cool. On road trips, I avg 70-75mph depending on winds and get 2.0.

As a side note, my last trip I decided to try the "drive fast and charge short but frequent stops" strategy. I usually drive slower and charge once, which adds about 45 min to my trip. The drive fast had 3 stops and still added 45 min. Oh but I used way more energy, averaging 1.8...so yeah. I'll stick with paying less and just drive slower.

Thanks for the reply,

We live in Hot Florida. The majority of my driving with the Lightning is traveling between house and cabin at 60-65 MPH. I averaged 2.2 mi/kWh with my 2023 Larirat ER and I now average 2.0 with my 2024 Platinum.

I just pulled a bunch of PIDs. At 100% (reported) the actual SoC was listed around 96%. Energy to Empty at 100% was 131 kWh. I'm guessing this battery system is over-engineered as Ford is terrified of warranty work on them. Super pleased with everything. I'll report in again at 200k.

yeah thumb in the wind from CarScanner (i don't write anything down) - this is similar to my experience. 100% is not true 100%, somewhere around 45-65% is an actual 1:1 matching of reported vs actual.

i havent checked, but none of my 10k inspections have mentioned it. Is be surprised if there was much wear. I drive pretty conservatively typically.
So you have driven 100k without need of new brake pads? If so, impressive, in gas engines you have to replace on avg every 50k.

The regenerative braking is the main source of braking, so I’d be really surprised if there was very much pad wear at all.

I'll be out of the 36k warranty before month end for sure, really like to see these updates. My 2014 RAM 1500 Hemi 4x4 Crew Cab basically ran 137k miles with only one out of basic warranty repair. It was a struggle to trade the RAM for the Lighting give the amazing reliability I had.

I did one 10k service visit, it was a waste of $47 for tire rotation and some fluid top off. I got a SW update, which took overnight so I had a new Explorer ST for the time. Tire Discounters took care of my 20k rotation for free, plus it was 5 min from my house. Unfortunately my front tire took a large cut at 22k miles, for what ever reason there is no record of my truck having the Goodyear tires on it, the dealership couldn't order a replacement and the Goodyear store had no idea how to get the EV branded replacement tire either. I ended up going to Sam's club and getting a full set of normal tires, Pirelli Scorpion AS, since they are always in stock and handle well. I'll probably just do tire rotations till the 100k at this point, I have the extended warranty till then.

My biggest issue is still traveling, which has had some improvements, but still a pain compared to gas. It is a shame as I've rented gas for trips because of the lack of charging and needing to make certain time, and just don't like driving them, but there easy travel ability can't be ignored. I have 100k factory extended warranty, I'd like to stick with EV trucks, so hopefully that is possible down the road.

22k miles on my ER 2023 Lariat and also have enjoyed the truck thru and thru of course we're all going to have different experiences.

Recently I noticed my door key pad is starting to loosen and now hanging out of the door. Has anyone else had this issue? I assume base warranty will cover this but several vids I saw talked about having to take the entire door panel off to access it. Others said just to order the $60 part and remove the shroud and use it on the existing pad as just the clips have failed. And no need to remove the entire door.

Wondering how others have tackled this?

See video below (I know this is for an older model truck but the design is same)
