  1. Lightning sales report for Q1 2025

    So if I’m reading the yearly totals right, Ford has only sold about 80k Lightnings in total since it launched in 2022?
  2. Early brake wear

    I’m also on the side of the fence that believes there might be something wrong. It doesn’t seem normal to have such extensive brake wear on an EV at 30k miles. Maybe the rear brakes are somehow squeezing the calipers each and every time the brake pedal is applied.
  3. Should have just bought one... but here we are.

    I don’t see many of these in MA where I live but I drove next to one on the highway briefly today and I forgot how huge they are.
  4. Tail Gate Automatically Closing. Ford Tech

    If you had the fob in your pocket it could’ve been a butt dial and you accidentally closed it? Otherwise I’m not sure how that could happen.
  5. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout IPMA-24.204.10.9

    I had a chance to fully test out BC 1.4 on my commute today on interstate 90. The turn signal lane change works great and it only requires a tap on the turn signal. I also noticed it kept the Lightning more distant from semi trucks to my left or right. Those used to be stressful moments before...
  6. V2H possible with other equipment?

    I’ve learned from researching the yet to be released, Enphase bi-directional EV charger that the standard is ISO 15118. This is also what the Lightning and Rivian and other EVs use today for making plug and charge possible. It works with both AC and DC I’ve read. Long story short, in theory our...
  7. Full charge but below 131 KW of usable power

    I’m experiencing this today after charging to 100% for the first time in a long while. I let it sit on my level 1 charger for 25 hours (yes it took 25 hours) to go from 97% to 100%. Then I hopped in to check things out in car scanner. It’s showing I only have 97% State of Health and 120.48kwh...
  8. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout IPMA-24.204.10.9

    So when I hopped into the truck just now I am not seeing any of these new sliders that the update said will be coming later. I’m not on the early release. Should I be seeing those sliders? I figured that they would come later as noted. I haven’t been able to try BC yet but hope to this weekend.
  9. Motorcycle Hitch Carrier Setup & Experience

    Who knew there were so many Lightning bikers out there ?️ but great to see the hitch on this truck is so strong.
  10. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout IPMA-24.204.10.9

    I got BC 1.4 overnight according to my app. 2023 Lariat. I had the front sensor CSP done last month. Looking forward to driving it later. ?
  11. System Off to Save Battery message

    You gotta switch to decaf, man. :) But I agree it’s odd how Ford lets the 12v get so low when it can simply recharge it at anytime from the high voltage pack. It’s not like an ICE vehicle where you have to drive it to recharge the 12v.
  12. Are there any real bidirection chargers available?

    I’m getting solar install quotes now and I’m also asking them about this Enphase bidirectional EV charger. They want to install all enphase solar equipment and I’m hoping to at least make myself ready for when/if this bidirectional charger of theirs becomes available. It looks promising but it’s...
  13. Dealerships that didn't provide paperwork for EV Tax Credit {Solution post #119}

    https://www.npr.org/2025/03/26/nx-s1-5341550/irs-ev-ta-credit-2024-solution I saw a few people in this forum whose dealer did not file the paperwork in time. This may help them.
  14. Should have just bought one... but here we are.

    These things are not selling well I hear.
  15. Renting a Mach-E today

    My dealer gave me one (mach e GT) when my truck was in for several days to fix the modem. It’s a fun drive. It felt like a parallel universe because the interior system was basically the same. However, to me it didn’t have the same gut punch acceleration as my Lightning. I’m definitely seeing a...
  16. Side sensors constantly alerted

    Mine just started doing this after one year but I haven’t checked to see if they are clean. I have noticed this seems to happen when the angle of the sun is just right. So it could be that also. Keeping an eye on it.
  17. CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks

    My lane centering doesn’t seem to be affected as far as I can tell. It has been colder here in MA though so when it warms up again I’ll pay attention to the steering feel and see if that changes anything.
  18. CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks

    So I feel like I’m taking crazy pills but the weird loose steering feel has seemingly corrected itself for me after about a week or two of driving. It was definitely different right after the front sensor CSP programming was done and I hated it. But I’ve noticed it is back to the normal firm...
  19. Yellow wrench of doom has appeared Post#22 {GSM failure}

    This sounds better than a bad battery module. But there’s a whole other discussion about the GSM ( gear shift module?) that’s been popular this week too.
