I guess you could also just run beefier gauge wire that could handle a 50 amp outlet, but just put a 30 amp outlet on there for now for the Lightning. Later you could swap it out for a 50 amp outlet assuming the wiring is gauged properly for that. I’m not an electrician but research that route...
I will say I like how it is also a turn signal. I really wish the factory rear light bar on my Lightning was like this. Seems like a missed opportunity from Ford.
The other thing it doesn’t do is tell you how many charging stalls are open at the Tesla location it routed you to. So for that you’ll still need to open the Tesla app if you want to know ahead of time.
So I didn’t do anything differently than I used to in Apple Maps. I had already set Tesla as one of my preferred networks in the Apple Maps settings and had both J1772 and CCS1 set. Before the announcement I would never see it actually route me to a Tesla supercharger. But now it does.
Something like this from my Toyota would be great. Shows door status and window status. It’ll even remind me if I left a window open and tell me which window it is.
Another dumb question but the fob is far enough from the truck in this situations? So the truck is only trying to communicate with the phone? My PAAK is definitely finicky with the door unlock and lock with the door handle. A lot of times I have to open the FordPass app and then touch the handle.
Anyone heard anything lately about this Enteligent dc to dc charger? The original link is now a dead 404 page. Maybe this was another vaporware product?
Just had my front sensor CSP done on Monday. And the dealer apparently did not hook up a power supply to my 12v. Luckily I came in with 100% 12v charge. But when I picked it up it was very low. I was getting low battery warnings on the center screen, etc. after driving a couple days everything...
This happens to me at least once a week. I just push the OK button and ignore it. The truck just isn’t sensing the phone for any number of reasons, like 1. After you started the truck you got out to do something with the phone still in your pocket 2. Your phone battery is really low which seems...
I live in MA and heard about this incident. But didn’t hear how Tesla replaced all these in 48 hours. Damn that is extremely fast. There was a ChargePoint fast charger on my commute that was dead for months until it was finally fixed it.
My VIN looks clear. But yeah this sounds like a HV battery replacement to me, or at least a module. But who knows at this point. This tear down video from a while back may yield some clues.
