The problem is not all companies are alike, and as they say you can't have your cake and eat it too. IMHO, Tesla is more up-to-date and mature on the software side. Ford is learning, but they appear to have a long way to go.
From a OTA point a view, what can't be updated on the Lightning?
Congratulations but you may want to change the car seat to the other side (passenger). This way you don’t loose the ability to flip up the 2 seater for certain cargo.
Besides fault codes, I wonder what else they upload. As stated in another thread, I can watch and see history (bytes in/out) from my network based on a particular wireless client. Yesterday alone it uploaded well over 7 MB of data. I know I had issues with my infotainment (audio very low) so...
With Tesla opening up its patents on the Tesla connector over a month back, do we think companies will adopt the Tesla NACS and drop CCS?
Also, what would it take to build a high-amperage Tesla NACS to CCS connector? I know there are a few companies making a CCS to NACS (including Tesla), but...
When driving home today, I noticed that the speakers didn’t sound right. For one, it wasn’t as loud, and secondly it felt like some of the speakers were not firing.
So being in IT, I figured I would try to reboot the APIM, but that didn’t fix it. I then tried to reboot my iPhone, again no...

I have the ability to track how many bytes are going in/out along with a history of bytes in/out on my network. After looking at this data, I rarely see downloads/uploads over a few MB in size.
How large are these OTA updates, PowerUps or Priority?
I currently have 3.5.5 installed, and I hope thats it. Its scary since I use this vehicle mainly for work, and for driving the family around. If it was just me, it would be just a inconvenience, but with the family it could be a big issue... especially in the middle of no where.
I wonder if this could be related to what I saw this morning. It was 37 degrees out at the time, but I left with 90% SOC (preconditioned), and had 83% SOC when I finally arrived at work. .

So I was driving on the highway, and it was 37 degrees F. I came to a stop (red light), and noticed that half of my available powertrain was gone. So then I tried to accelerate, and notice its not the same as it should be and only the rear motors are accelerating/getting regen. On the next...
