Just got my first replacement this morning. Took them from 7:30am to about 9:45am. They did not have to use a new plastic top piece, only had to use new plastic clip inserts. They do look like they have a little difference in their finish, but it seems like they are the same part. The light...
Where did you find the emblem from? Does the hue of the light match as well in person as it does in your picture? This is the best looking one I've seen, I've hesitated to order one because it always seems like the emblem LEDs are a lot cooler than the light bar.
Yep, I've got this adapter and it worked well at every destination charger I've tried it at. My last trip there was with my model 3, that house had an outlet outside and I didn't even ask the owner that time. Also with the SC north of Rehoboth I wasn't worried at all. This place is a bit...
I am a little nervous about my Rehoboth trip late this summer. I saw an article about all the medium speed (~60kw) charging that looks like it will be a lot of places. Looks like new Volta units coming to the outlets, and basically every Royal Farms has a coming-soon wrench in PlugShare. I...
Unless that changes I don't think we current owners need to worry. There were probably what, at most 200 in the staging lot or something? and there are 15,000 on the road and none of them spontaneously combusted (believe me the media would be all over it) so it's likely like they say, an issue...
It isn't just about being stranded. That's worst case. It's about a situation like...hey if there was just one more charger between the two I am looking at as possible next stops, I wouldn't sweat it one bit. The one that is closer, I would get to with too much charge making me waste my time...
Just hoping for retrofits in very key areas where there isn't much CCS to go around. In Breezewood PA, Tesla put in 20 stalls in a Dunkin Donuts location. This is their second location in Breezewood, the other being an 8-stall in a Sheetz. The Sheetz was always slammed when I had my model 3...
I was trying it today on a drive and it will show controls at least for the music on the bottom of the full screen map. Overall my only gripe is the cards just need to be shrunk a bit, and give me the ability to disable rounded corners because that's just ugly imo.
Yes, it looks like this, which I am kindof annoyed with, because they could have still showed the song name in maps fullscreen, and it no longer does.
Basically, the cards are good but entirely too large.
It's possible with the ramp-up, they will have enough new batteries on hand to replace all the ones from 2022 that are likely to fail. At that point maybe they start sending recall notices.
I'm really terrified of this. I wonder if there were more lightnings on the road, if they would do a recall for whatever the issue is.... with so few, they might have done the math and decided that the failures would be sporadic, allowing them to maybe keep up with replacements as they are needed.
With the way it is, where one or two cars got popped out of 10s of thousands, it is likely not anything wrong with the charger. It's gotta be the cars having some sort of very untimely defect. Even if it is something with the charger, it might not even be something they can fix, it could have...
Thousands of people are charging every day, and there were two cars bricked at chargers a couple weeks ago? Doesn't seem like a very widespread issue to me.
This happened to me, it sucks. I tried everything with the app and it wouldn't go away. Logging out and/or uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't even stop it. I had to have EA remotely initiate two charges on a trip because the session from the first of the 3 was active still.
