When it didn't phantom brake it worked well. I couldn't trust it though.
Also, ford handles certain things just...better. When there's an on-ramp and the right side line disappears, Tesla always assumed we suddenly had a huge lane and we need to be in the center of it. Ford on the other...
No excuses from me, enhanced autopilot in my 2018 model 3 was crap for all 4 years I had it. It would slam on the brakes any time a nearby car touched a white line, it would slam on the brakes at tunnels, it would slam on the brakes for seemingly zero reason what so ever. No updates changed a...
This is what scares me. In Bedford, the only nearby options are some RV parks. I end up taking rt 30 to Bedford from the west to save in efficiency, so that in an absolute emergency, I can limp to Carlisle maybe.
There is Bedford Ford right there, if they put in a few DCFC's then it would...
Some good info here, seems like OTA updates should interrupt the normal automatic 48 hour 12v check/charge and force it to charge up the 12v battery. It also seems that an extremely low battery will also interrupt that check and force a top-off as well.
That being said, what's with all the typos?
Just an example... can use plastic bins to store some stuff on a trip that you don't need until you're there. Saves some frunk space for the bags you need at any hotel stops along the way. A tonneau that locks (even though I know they aren't very secure, I can break into mine with a metal...
Ever since having onboard charger modules start crapping out on my model 3 right at 4 years of ownership, I have been charging the truck more like how I filled up my old ICE vehicles. Less charges total will keep the onboard charger from wear and tear. Though, with the truck able to do 80amps...
Combined with the height off the road, which makes me feel like I am going much slower, I end up in the same situation all the time, 50's in a 35 before I realize it.
Side note, I was being tailed by my town cop for a bit after I passed the police station right after I got mine. I was sure he...
Considering turning off plug and charge for an upcoming trip even though I have some kwh left. I want to see the entire trip from start to finish with EA's pricing. I'll use those kwh some other time.
I bet Ford feels pretty dumb giving me as much as they did for my 4 year old Model 3 trade. It's still on their lot, and they paid really close to current MSRP-Credit lmao.
I will say I agree there, it was super annoying that the climate system immediately came on any time I opened a door on my model 3. I'd intentionally turn it off if before getting out in the summer if I knew I might be in and out of the car later. It may have been a big contributor to the hvac...
I'm not suggesting eliminating the 12v system. I am suggesting that it be more robust, less finicky, and better managed. The whole idea of there still being a start/stop button, accessory mode still existing, etc... all of that could have been done away with. 12v, and to more extent, just...
