I’m also pretty sure the BCM can’t be updated at all, except by a dealer. Ford locked that module down last year.

Return it. HammaMan put it through the motions, and he has above average knowledge of module programming. I just picked up a used Mongoose to add to my loaner program for $320 shipped.@Mike G - did you happen to do any more testing with the TopDon adapter? Based on the feedback from the ICE forum it can't update the IPMA. I was going to ask them if they had update the drivers, but figure they had put it through its paces. Thinking I'm going to submit a return on mine to Amazon. My 30 days is up tomorrow.

Ebay and the for sale sections of different Ford forums. A guy sold one on the F150forum last month for $250!I keep hearing of the used adapters, but I'm not watching the right places.
I've upped my game watching, but did forget to click buy last week. An Amazon big store actually had a returned Clore PL6100 for $100 off. I found it and didn't click buy now. It was gone pretty quickly.Ebay and the for sale sections of different Ford forums. A guy sold one on the F150forum last month for $250!![]()
My 1st Clore PL6100 from Amazon was Used Like New from a reputable 3rd party. It came scratched up and while the battery charge function worked, the power supply function did not work. Power supply is the main reason to get this, so it was worthless to me. I looked at the revision stamped on the body and it was several years old. If you go used, make sure you check it out well before the return period ends. I ended up returning and buying a new one shipped/sold by Amazon when it was on sale.I've upped my game watching, but did forget to click buy last week. These things become games to me. I'll find the right sale, or I'll wake up one day and just buy them. Obviously updating isn't as big a deal to me as I likely make it. I've got local guys offering to loan equipment too.
You only need to do it if the windows loose their functionality after the update. Save your money.Question about DDM/PDM module updates.
In the other FDRS thread that is now closed, the guide says this about door module updates:
“If you updated the DDM/PDM modules, you need to run the 'Power Door Window Initialization' for both modules. This can be found in each of the module task window (on the right hand side) in FDRS. This is needed for your windows auto open/close to work”
Is this still true? I updated both my PDM & DDM and did not do this initialization procedure. Both my windows auto open/close still work (1 touch with the switch).
I don’t want to pay another $50 to go back and run this if I don’t have to.
