There is a thread here on the site - look for adding a lightbar to a Pro. I believe they disclosed how to turn the power on for the lightbar, which as noted is each half powered by the headlight on that side. You have to increase the voltage from the module it connects to.

Are you sure you didn't have two navs running? The Ford built in and then one from your phone? I've seen conflicting results between two systems, but not within a system.

I don’t disagree with you but any update that isn’t a safety issue is not covered in any kind of warranty. It is specifically called out I know in the extended warranties that SW updates are not covered.

My suggestion is to invest in the right cable and get a Forscan license. You can read the codes and make fun modifications like turning on Glare Free lights.
