Charging rate and what you charge the battery too aren't related. Sure DCFC isn't as good on the battery as a slow charge, but charging to and leaving the battery at 100% often or for very long is worse than anything regardless of a slow charge rate.
Leave the juice on the table. Find a...
Dang, just drove down Beltline 45 minutes ago. You were likely there charging. Glad to know that charger works. That will be one of my first Go To's if I need a charge close to home.
Other than the few hundred screws ups in the 7000's everything is perfectly on track for what we've been told it would be. No throttling (unless it was already built in). April deliveries are out, the only misses for April are due to the 3rd party mess up, again to those in the 7000's...
Got my truck back from the battery module replacement today. This update had failed twice while in the shop @rugedraw had already let me know that. I hope this doesn't throw my truck off, it has been very good at getting most updates early on.
They were connected with FDRS several times...
It seems hard that that pawl could have problems or be damaged and not have caused other damage, but hoping it is that simple. I didn't know Ford was ready to have shops start breaking these motors down on site.
My truck has returned home. Appears to be a good repair. Drove it 30 miles, it is charging and there is still fluid in the reservoir - I'll keep an eye on it a few days.
All told the truck was in for 3 weeks. Out of 21 months it has spent 6 weeks in for service. The dealership appeared to...
Batteries and voltage aren't my wheel house, but until someone can come up with some definitive reasons about all of the battery module replacements I figure Ford just walks on thin air not touching a thing. It seems to be SK was about the weakest or slimiest battery partner they could find...
That answer has become pretty common around Ford. Everyone knows I'm a Tesla fanboy, I'm going to start to think Musk has something to do with the scheduling around here.
What is this sorcery you speak of? Likely most of the common man doesn't have a need for it, or maybe it doesn't do anything special, but there is no reason not to share and let many others try it, you know, just to make them feel better about their trucks and getting updates.
Unless Ford put some real magical engineering into the motor mounts, replacing a motor on an EV should be one of the simplest things they can do. Repairing what is inside, well that is a different conversation.
Updates from all of the Early risers with those first 1000 orders and the lucky few hundred in the high 7000's. I'm guessing this shipment must have had about 1400 adapters in it. We are missing some data in the 935-1236 range, so guessing the first 1100 (someone reported a FB post from...
Through OK look up Francis Energy Charging. Ford just added them to the network late last year, but I've not tested to see if that works, not sure I would depend on it anyway. Sign up for an account and get their RFID card - the cc reader doesn't work on their stations.
We have EA in Denton...
Looks like a fair number of deliveries today. I think I caught them all, if I've missed one ping it in a post and I'll get it updated.
The eclipse had much hype for totality here in Dallas and it is cool to see. It truly gets pretty dark and the birds did start flying. We were lucky to see...
I don't have access to FDRS, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are not down. @rugedraw has had access and posted updates from FDRS from others wanting an update on their truck. It appears to be working.
Sorry that you weren't aware they could be ordered (saw your post from the other thread), but you will still get it free and your order number and timing is an interesting data point on the list of orders. You are almost 20,000 more than the last known order number I was tracking, but still...
