Update failed 3 minutes after the OTA trigger was created citing a manifest mismatch. Not a single file was attempted to download due to error of the nature. While I have seen many updates fail with this error, I do not know what causes it. The update was canceled by the mothership.....nothing...

Just rechecked your VIN, and no OTA in your queue at this time. The OTA trigger would have to be there before starting your truck will cause it to download anything.
Yes, that's what the wording says, but who knows? I believe it also serves to unify the Sync versions of all gen 14 F150s and Lightnings to the same at Sync 23159. Ford had it like this at some point, and then went away from that and now it looks like all trucks will be on the same Sync version...

If you don't mind, I would like to share your VIN privately with one other person. I would like a second opinion on your truck to make sure you don't have any configuration issues that would prevent you from getting successful updates in the future.
It's not that black and white. They would have needed to try to run certain config programs several times and gotten several failures before the APIM locks it self out. Even then, the word "brick" is a bit strong. The APIM will still work, but it lock itself out from being updated in the future...
I love the feature. All credit to @antho over on the ICE forum for figuring it out. He also stated that if you plug a light into the trailer connector to cause a draw, it will trick the truck into thinking it has a trailer connected and you can have it working all the time.
