You might have had another update come in that conflicts with your updates. I would try your updates again if it persists. It could just be temporary while your system is being updated also.

That was the breather line at the top of the engine. Because it was overfilled, the excess pressure and oil gets vented out the top. Overfilling can destroy an engine, luckily your engine was big enough to handle the excess. Hopefully without any damage.
