  1. PAAK/WAL needs a little tweaking

PAAK and WAL are two "features" specifically did not want. Too many horror stories from people I know where they have PAAK (various vehicles), and they find that they left their phone too close to the parked car at home and it unlocked without them knowing. WAL would drive me nuts. Way too...
  2. Electrify America charging with EA membership

Actually signed up with E.A. the night before and downgraded this morning. So far, I am leaving a Tesla subscription active (on the 3rd month). Saved $21.80 in one day on my long drive over three Tesla charges (minus the $14.22 including tax membership). Next week I have another long day trip...
  3. Electrify America charging with EA membership

Thanks to the various people who responded to this thread. Successfully used the E.A. app and membership at the Baker, Calif. charge location last weekend. According to my math, I saved $11.68 by having the E.A. membership on just that one charge (minus the $7.00 monthly cost of the...
  4. 603 mile drive mostly in the SoCal desert

Reading this again I realized I failed to load one more photo. This is the Fenner E.A. station as of last Sunday... Nice that they are upgrading equipment, but not very helpful for me.
  5. 603 mile drive mostly in the SoCal desert

I was surprised at the low price in Needles! Even the E.A. station is fairly cheap. I just double checked those prices as I was typing my previous message. Agree that if towing, the Wagon Wheel location would be terrible! Not an issue without one. I was happy to see the pull-through stalls...
  6. 603 mile drive mostly in the SoCal desert

I knew that there were two Tesla and one E.A. locations in Needles, but know nothing else about them or the area in town. Other than the trash cans being full at the Tesla location (West Broadway - next to the Wagon Wheel restaurant), I did not really have any issues with it. One advantage of...
  7. powering a Refrigerator (Samsung Bespoke)

Good bet. I can easily power my home refrigerator/freezer on my 2.2 KW Honda generator with plenty of room to spare for other stuff.
  8. 603 mile drive mostly in the SoCal desert

Yes, there is a lot of mostly old volcanic. North of Kelso is a large lava flow not far from the road.
  9. 603 mile drive mostly in the SoCal desert

I took a little drive on Sunday mostly in the southern California desert. 603.6 miles in 17 hours 34 minutes. It was a fun day, but quite long. Charged 4 times on the trip. I'm going to tell you about it. Warning, this is gonna get a bit long... If you don't care what the trip was for, you...
  10. 1760 mile trip - 0 EA charging

I did. Because the Fenner EA station was down, I went farther east than planned (Goffs) because Needles was now required. It was about 60 miles out of my, but I made it productive with some additional GeoCaches logged. And both Needles SC sites were $0.26 / KWH so we went to the farther NW...
  11. Charging data from a 1568 mile trip in the West

Did not go as far as Las Vegas, but yesterday did a sort of large triangle that included the 120 stall Tesla SC in Barstow (twice), the EA charger in Baker, and one of the Tesla SCs in Needles. The Barstow SC was mostly empty both stops there, but the EA in Baker was heavily used. Out of 12...
  12. 1760 mile trip - 0 EA charging

Thanks for the Info on Fenner. I'm suspecting that Baker may be the same issue. And yes, it was Friday evening that Baker went unavailable. Looks like damn near everybody is doing upgrades at Baker... Bummer
  13. 1760 mile trip - 0 EA charging

Now I am going to grumble about EA. I have a desert trip planned for tomorrow that will be 650 - 700 miles. So obviously several DC charging stops along the way. One of those stops is planned in Baker, Calif. which has a large Tesla SC installation, but is not compatible with our trucks...
  14. 1760 mile trip - 0 EA charging

What do you mean "it hides the cost"? Below are two screen captures for charging at the same EA station near my house (never used it - it's almost always full). On the left is as seen in FordPass and on the right is from the EA app. How is that hiding the price? Note further that without an...
  15. 1760 mile trip - 0 EA charging

First of all for @Robert1380 you DO NOT NEED the Tesla, or EA apps to charge. You can simply plug in and your truck will start charging. It will bill through Ford. However you can get a cheaper rate using their apps with a paid membership. The Telsa membership costs $12.99 per month (plus...
  16. Getting dropped by State Farm for several not-at-fault claims 😡 who are you using to insure your Lightning(s) and how's it working out?

I've been with Auto Club of Southern California since I started driving (50 years ago). Never had any complaints about their service. they are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
  17. Edit phone favorites on Sync

Yes, I have 10 favorites as shown below. Only the Verizon VoiceMail shows up on the truck (not handy to grab a screen from that at the moment). I even tried adding one a couple days ago to see if only pre-existing favorites failed to sync with the truck and maybe a new favorite would. That...
  18. Edit phone favorites on Sync

Yes, my 2022 Android connects to the truck shortly after startup. That still leaves me with my original question. How do I edit the phone favorites on the big screen so the few people I regularly call can be selected with only a couple of button pushes. As I said, the 700+ number contact list...
  19. FordPass 5.19.0 iOS & Android

That's been intermittently hosed up for a while. I somewhat routinely see power added not updating.
  20. FordPass 5.19.0 iOS & Android

Yikes! That would be a major issue for me - I use that after every charge. I just checked my Android (my primary phone) which is now 5.19.0 and all my charge history is there. Updating the &^%$# iPhone now. iPhone 13 with iOS 18.5 updated and charge history is still there in FordPass.
