Correct about when they update, but there are gazillion iPhones wandering around. It's rare for any of my four AirTags to not update within a few minutes when anywhere in the public. I just looked, the AirTag in my Lightning parked at work and the one in my wife's car parked at home both have...
I'm in southern California so 87 octane gas is just under $4.00 at Costco (where I bought most of my gas) up to $5.something at some other places. My prior truck was getting 10.8 mpg when I traded it in, so 36 to 40 cents per mile for gas.
In comparison, as of yesterday I have 10,334 miles on...
I am getting really bummed that the Find my iPhone website only works with iPhones and iPads and NOT with AirTags. For AirTags you MUST use an Apple device. I have a work forced on me iPhone that for the most part I despise. However I have several AirTags because they work so much better than...
Yes, you can bring up CarScanner on the truck display. I understand it works better on iOS vs Android, but I have not tried it (and I lose my #$%^& iPhone in 24 days anyway - when I retire). No info on the 12" screen.
If I'm driving and I have the CarScanner display on the truck 15" display, most commonly battery voltage & current, and battery power. I don't do that very often as I consider it to be too distracting. More often I bring it up so my passenger can watch it.
If I'm charging and looking at...
After I received the CSP letter, I called and chatted with the Service Manager at my local dealership. He was aware of it, but showed the replacement part on back order. We also talked about the Upper Ball Joint recall, and lastly that I was getting close to my 10K service. He calls me every...
I'm a radio guy. Depending on the construction of the garage, can have a substantial effect on how well radio signals get into buildings. Something we deal with at work regularly.
Where are they opening one here in CA? PlugShare says one is coming in Inyokern, but no sign of construction as of a few weeks ago. I will be there in just over a month.
Make sure the FCSP firmware is up to date. There was a firmware version a while ago that had that exact symptom. I had it happen once. Updated firmware and that cleared the problem. Other people have reported the same thing.
Correct. I do not want DRL to be on EVER. As I have said, I am rather strongly opposed to them. And yes, I am aware that in some other countries, they are required - but not in the USA.
I'm in the Los Angeles area and see other Lightnings pretty regularly. Unlike some of the other electrics (Tesla and Rivian) the Lighting does not stand out as much.
My solution is to completely disable the DRL. I am opposed to DRLs primarily because WAY too many people are driving around at night with the vehicle completely dark except the DRL. Secondary reason is there are circumstances where any white lights are unacceptable yet you may want to leave...
