  1. Linex and bed bolts

I understand why TTY bolts offer far superior strength to regular bolts, but they are usually selected when the forces in play are parallel to the bolt, such as in a head bolts which is holding a cylinder head to a block while there is an explosion in the combustion chamber trying to throw the...
  2. Linex and bed bolts

Thanks, but let me rephrase. I am curious why they chose torque to yield bolts for the bed, It seems unnecessary given the use.
  3. Linex and bed bolts

I know it’s a bit of a rabbit hole to go down, but I agree it’s a bit of a head scratcher that the bolts are stretch fit considering which direction the forces on a bed are likely to be. If anyone has insight I would love to know why just to satisfy curiosity.
  4. Linex and bed bolts

Dealer removed (possibly replaced) my bolts when they did the spray-in. Glad they did because I had to remove 4 of them to install the BedSlide. The Bed Slide instructions (the ford specific no drill kit) came with new bolts.
  5. Powerboost Level Kit Install?

I installed spacers, but putting in coilovers would require access to the same bolts. And yes the issues is the extra wires associated with the hybrid system.
  6. Disable Passenger Seatbelt Monitor System

I measured the resistance on the latch side of the pins as 653K ohm. However a 650K resistor still resulted in an error screen. I checked the signal from the BCM and it was pulsing, so it looks like it might be some form of ICP or serial link between the two. Crazy complicated for a contact...
  7. Disable Passenger Seatbelt Monitor System

Seatbelt extenders do work... but they are so big they dig into the kids side. I'm not overly large (6', 175lb) and they bothered me a bit. My halfling kids are only 4' and 70 lb, they can't cope with them. I think a resistor will work once I measure the open and closed resistance.
  8. Disable Passenger Seatbelt Monitor System

No luck using the belt-minder disable on the rear seats. I'm 99% positive it's a separate system. I did try unplugging the sensor from the bottom of the latch, and that resulted in a belt monitor error: service required message. A paperclip jumping it didn't help either. I'll have to go out...
  9. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

I've branched into a new thread because I can't find this in settings. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/disable-passenger-seatbelt-monitor-system.5760/ Thanks
  10. Disable Passenger Seatbelt Monitor System

AMechorse I don't think this is the same thing. I've used this to turn off the chime on the front seats, but I'm not sure it will work on the back seats. I will test this at lunch and report back. Thanks for the input.
  11. Disable Passenger Seatbelt Monitor System

Starting a new thread forking off from the Forscan thread. I'm looking to eliminate the seatbelt monitoring system. This is the system that gives you a popup on the gauge cluster when someone in the backseat unbuckles their seatbelt. I drop off kids 3-4 times per day, and this pop up is...
  12. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

No, that is disabled. What I am looking to eliminate is the popup when the truck is still powered on and someone in the rear seat unbuckles their seatbelt. I get a map of all 5 seatbelts with a green check or a red X, and I have to click OK to dismiss it or the pop up will stay there, even if I...
  13. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

Looking to eliminate the stupid pop-up alert that tells me the kids in the backseat unbuckled and got out of the car. A google search didn't appear to have any relevant results either, so it looks like I might be forging a new path on this one. Since the Drivers and Passengers Seat Belt Minders...
  14. Are clear bras worth it?

We paid $2200 for full hood, front bumper, front fenders, and side mirrors on my wife's Mach-E. This included the 10 year warranty where they will re-wrap it if the PPF gets chewed up with rocks. Executive Motorsports 1208 Gessner 713.467.7000 The Mach-E is obviously meant to be an eye...
  15. 3D Printed Rear Camera Mount

I've got a few 3D printed items for the F150, I'm sure a few more will be coming as work slows down. A drop-in work surface for those of us who bought a truck off the lots and couldn't get a work surface: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4896557 And a filler for the shifter fold down cubby...
  16. ProPower 7.2kW: what are you charging?

Well that is disappointing. Guess I'll start on a DIY solution.
  17. ProPower 7.2kW: what are you charging?

The heater is rated at 7amps, but the cord looks much beefier. Maybe I'll order one to measure the gauge of the wires.
