Saved the link to the EAP as it is something I will be interested in. Can't participate yet as I don't have a compatible vehicle. I'm going shopping tomorrow however. Might be a nice Christmas present for myself!
Granted, I have never - yet - driven a vehicle with one pedal mode, but at least in my current train of thought, I absolutely refuse to use it. I don't want my muscle memory in an emergency having to remember / think about which vehicle I'm driving. Besides my own vehicle (expected to be a...
That's my general take. All tire rotation does is largely guarantee that you have to replace all four (or five) tires at the same time - a quite expensive proposition. Then if you have a tire damaged enough to require replacement at some other time, you are right back to not having even wear...
I've been an XM subscriber since a month or two after they launched service. Mostly had two radios subscribed (office and vehicle). I use it a lot - especially when traveling. No easy way to do streaming in my 21 year old truck so that has never been much of an option. I have never...
Just the opposite in my wife's Toyota Corolla - any time you turn on the AC, it automatically goes into recirc. Have to turn it off since it makes no sense to get into a 140 degree car and have recirc on.
I read this with interest. I am not into snow, but I help support a five day bicycle ride every year from Big Bear to the Mammoth Inn in early October. We overnight in Barstow, the fairgrounds in Ridgecrest, Lake Diaz just south of Lone Pine, the fairgrounds in Bishop, and at the Mammoth Mtn...
Thank you all for the opinions. I appreciate the thoughts and your time to write them. As I said in the beginning, I have always purchased in the past. Realizing that EVs are pretty new - especially for Ford, I am wondering if 3 to 4 years from now if Ford will have enough of a better product...
Thanks to both of you. I am 2 miles from Colley Ford.
BigIsland Guy, I sent you a DM, but it came up with a scam message warning so don't know if it went through.
I have read this forum enough to know that as far as working with EVs is concerned, some dealers are quite good and some are terrible (most likely somewhere in between). I am getting very close to replacing my current truck and the replacement is almost certainly going to be a Lightning Flash...
To expand on this a little. Normal home based breakers will trip at slightly above their rating - EVENTUALLY. Obviously it depends on the breaker, but to trip a 30 amp breaker with a 34 amp load the trip time will likely be measured in a large number minutes or quite possible in hours. You...
Looking for opinions here. I expect to be shopping for a Lightning Flash in the next couple weeks. I'm looking for opinions on 1) getting a lease, 2) outright purchase (likely financed via Ford since even my Credit Union can't beat the current Ford rate), or 3) lease with the plan to buy it at...
I am going through this same thing right now, but have already decided on the Flash. There are things in the Lariat that I specifically do NOT want - Leather seats, glass roof, PAAK, and I could not care less about heated back seats as I seldom carry people in back.
My current situation is...
