Lots of speculation, but here's my (admittedly biased by my Pro order) opinion.
If it IS a chip hold, it's got to be a certain type of chip. We've seen models rolling off the lines, some forum members even have remote access to their vehicle. This tells me it isn't a battery management or...
that’s the huge benefit of the aluminum body, you’re right. You can let it get scratched and really not have to worry about rust at all. (Also a good counter argument for the idea that drop in liner water intrusion is an issue)
My 10 cents: spray in liner, rubber bed mat, and a trifold tonneau. On my current xlt I opted not to do the liner at all, big mistake. Even with the rubber bed mat, the sides of the bed are scratched to hell.
I bought a $200 (at the time) cover from Tyger Auto on Amazon and it only now had...
Looks like my dealer was able to add the tailgate step last week too. I took a spill climbing in my Xlt the other day and instantly called dealer to add it
I didn’t realize Wentzville was the STL area ramp. That means it’s literally going to drive past my home to get to my dealer before I can pick it up. Maybe I’ll camp out on the highway for a view!
The Pro does have standard cruise control, just not adaptive cruise control. Spec guide here: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/attachments/05-02-22-2022-f-150-lightning-order-guide-pdf.46666/?hash=2ed4ff589c19faa196658a95ae35401c
FWIW I asked my electrician about using aluminum to run my 14-50 circuit and he said he thought it was a terrible idea, especially given the price difference isn't significant for most runs you'd expect in a typical home
This is the review I was waiting for. Mine is built same week, super excited!
@OutofSpecKyle most important question: did you see any in Stone Gray? Of any trim???
My ICE F150 has been parked outside for 5 years, and the only rust I have is around the hitch receiver where the finish wore off from the hitch. It's aluminum bodied, it'll be fine. In a more normal market, a truck would sit on the lot for weeks or months before being sold.
Yeah, I think it's a marketing decision. Get a bunch of news outlets all pumping out hype on the truck tomorrow (at least, I'm anticipating it will be positive reviews) and then ship a bunch of them all at once. It will go from a vehicle you've never seen in person to one that seems like it's...
