  1. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

I decided better to have the extra adapter and not need it, then the other way around...ordered the A2Z Tesla destination adapter - looks like it will fit in the same zip up bag that the Typhoon came with. :)
  2. What Features Do You Want to See In Next Gen Lightning?

What would I like to see in a next Gen: Faster charging/better/higher capacity battery at same (or less) weight and price. More remote control features:(see what the cameras see from my phone, HVAC controls) Bed battery extender option - electrical connections in the truck bed. (ie add battery...
  3. Admiration while driving from others

I pulled into a gas station today - picked up washer fluid...girl behind the counter looks at the truck out the window, says to me - I bet that's all you need from us today. yup I said, until you install some fast chargers, that's it !! She laughed, says 'must be nice' !
  4. Brake Fluid Refill

Good To Know! Back to the brakes discussion, I am looking for a tire and rim combination for a set of dedicated winter tires that will go on in November, I will keep the stock tires and rims for summer running. So November will likely be the first time I take a look at the brakes and pads. I...
  5. Brake Fluid Refill

    I shift to neutral - I figured that means the motors can't do the regenerative thing. {does it?}
  6. Brake Fluid Refill

Speaking of brake bleeders - and not needing a brake job for a decade at a time...does this mean the Salt-Belt Lightnings should 'exercise' those bleeders BEFORE they weld themselves into the cast-iron ?!! I mean, with one-pedal-drive (which I thought I wouldn't like, but I love it) the 'real'...
  7. Brake Fluid Refill

Actually the best thing to do in our Salt-loving region is to apply never-seize to the bleeder threads when the truck is new-ish, and be sure the rubber covers are installed with a bit of grease. Then the bleeders don't 'rust-weld' into the cast iron.
  8. No Lightnings at Local Dealership

It seems to be a very regional thing, In cities like Vancouver and Montreal there are a lot of EV's on the roads maybe close to 50% of the new cars are either hybrid or EV. In Rural mid-Canada ... not so much !! From the dealer perspective, I suspect a Lightning is a big ticket item to have on...
  9. Suggestion: One-Time Departure Pre-Conditioning

I do too, the "fan" icon on the main vehicle page in the app. - Does this only condition the cabin? It seems to heat the batteries and motors in cold weather, judging by the truck display when I get in I set my typical "earliest departure time" in the Energy tab. It seems to me from...
  10. Admiration while driving from others

I ended up buying a book of carwash tickets at a local touch-less wash at a gas station. I find myself checking as I drive by that station to see if there is a line up at the car wash. If not, I pull in and get the truck washed. Otherwise just keep driving by, no gas required LOL.
  11. Last day! It was fun expensive and …

Definitely lots about the early Leaf - although it seem that was taken care of in the current version with active cooling system (? not sure, but was told this recently by owner of one) We should remember there is a lot going on with the developments of the technology in these vehicles...
  12. Admiration while driving from others

I think there is this general idea in the public that the Ford Lightning is a great EV-Truck, but expensive to buy and comes with charging challenges if you want to travel. A lot of the people that talk to me about my new Lightning are surprised that it wasn't as expensive as they imagined, and...
  13. Should have just bought one... but here we are.

I haven't seen one of the CT in the wild yet. starting to spot more Lighnings. I live in a small rural village and was surprised to see another Lightning at the local store! Likely just a passer-by going through town, but still.
  14. Will the tariffs affect prices currently on lots?

I had a feeling this was going to be coming down the pipe. Got my F-150 Lightning in Feb 2025, Glad I did !!
  15. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Post Yours! 📸

The Lightning is an impressive hauler, gotta say. Pulled this 3/4 ton Ram Megacab on the tilt-deck like it was a toy.
  16. Front Bumper Peeling

Mine is a week-day truck...and a weekend grocery cart !  -truth be told. I make sure I wash it on Thursday night, so it is clean for the grocery-cart-part on the weekend !
  17. Behind The Scenes: Ford Fast Charging Adapter

I don't use the Fast Chargers unless I am travelling, but it occured to me, an extension could make the difference between waiting and not waiting in some cases, and it may be a handy thing to have if towing a trailer - to be able to charge without un-hooking. If I get one, I will post a pic and...
  18. Front Bumper Peeling

    1. Good they say this is warranty no problem to get it fixed. 2. sucks to be without the truck - it is TOO FUN - can they give you a loaner?
