Does anyone know how to get the value for your vehicle in line? I see folks posting "xxx/2596" but my window sticker is out of 840 - I presume because of something like the spray in bed liner?
I ran some calculations off this with a COTS Anker battery pack/inverter and solar panels, and I believe it came out to be around 25 years for the system to pay for itself. So not terribly favorable.
Loving all the updates from everyone so thank you all.
Does anyone know - does the spray in bed liner impact the timing of the tear tag? Or is the tear tag for the main factory and then it heads off for the liner?
Good to know. I unfortunately don't have a good relationship with our dealer because they're kind of idiots, so I'm just relying on the data coming out of the Ford tools folks have described here.
Not sure about anyone else, but in checking the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking site, mine has not changed status since 08/30/2023 (which is "in production").
Your truck likely hasn’t been even started. The factory according to taxmanhog was 3-4 days behind so they are likely just starting the 9/11 week either today or tomorrow.
Looks like the strike likely will happen, but the targeted plant builds the Bronco and the Ranger, not the Lightning. So we might see some progress even if the strike takes place. Solidarity!
Looks like it mostly impacts trucks built last year and is somewhat being fixed via a software update - I wonder if they are waiting on the update to ship out vehicles.
I watched the UAW update, at least part of it. They’re still not happy with the Big 3 concessions (and rightfully so) but Ford has made the most progress in every category the UAW outlined. There’s also a question on whether they strike everywhere or do targeted strikes - and the analysis showed...
Man it's such a toss-up. The factory is still currently behind even though they skipped an entire week of builds - but the website still says estimated deliveries October, which it said when we placed our order 4.5 weeks ago... hopefully things accelerate.
Ah I didn't know this, thank you! I figured because I was close ours was convoy regardless, but knew times were pretty variable. I figured things will be delayed even more due to negotiations. Here's hoping Ford does the right thing for their workers!
