If you use Android Auto, an OBD connection is no longer necessary. ABRP can now read the data through the Android Auto connection like Google Maps does. You have to allow the permission in ABRP to read car data.
Your OBDLink CX+ should work just fine with Carscanner and the other OBD apps.
Not a charger, a power supply to provide a constant amperage. Well documented in the FDRS threads.
Look for something like this:

Or this:

That OBD will allow you use ForScan to turn some options on or off.
You need to get this one for FDRS which will allow you to update software.
Then you also need a 12 volt power supply that supplies 75 amps, and a Windows computer that has USB ports so that you can download FDRS and ForScan...
You are getting the expected behavior. The last two digits, if I recall correctly, are hashes that are determined by the truck. Those are expected to change. As long as you are putting the correct characters into all of the other spaces, everything should be good.
I think the default is "on".
If you update your profile information to include the year of your Lariat, more forum members may be able to offer some specific suggestions since different years have different settings sometimes.
I read it as the technology is being announced and starting production. Either way, the business world is excited about it.
Wall Street Journal: BYD Shares Touch All-Time High After Unveiling New Charging Tech
Electrek BYD article
Surprised that nobody posted a link to this story yet. It was linked in my Google News page today. I sure hope that this tech can go global.
I basically did the same thing as you on my first road trip in my Mach-e. I pulled in to a DCFC with 1% left after ignoring the navigation suggestion to stop earlier. I thought that I was going to make it with 10%, but then I hit some unexpected cold and sleet. I quickly learned to trust the...
The stuck shifter hasn't happened to me yet (knocking on wood) but from reading other posts it seems to be a mechanical or some sort of switch internal to the mechanics of the shifter that goes bad or gets stuck. What I have found on my shifter is that sometimes it does not want to leave park...
This was the first time that I have seen the HVB temp go above 58 deg before a DCFC stop. I did receive the Gateway OTA ECG-24.2.5.7 on Feb 28. Don't know if that changed anything?‍♂️
I did see my HVB temp get up to 78.8 yesterday while using Google maps to navigate to a Tesla DCFC with outdoor temp of 44 deg F. My HVB was 52 deg F at the start of the drive. 70 mph interstate driving. The coolant heater never seemed to come on and the air conditioner (heat pump) pulled...
For reference, on the first road trip I took with my Mach-e, I had a stop predicted to arrive with 30% charge, but I could make it to the next further charger with 10%. I decided to go to the further charger and I ended up hitting cold and sleet and pulled in to the charger at 1%. Everything...
If you still are under warranty, Ford roadside assistance will tow you to the next charge stop if you don't make it. Not something I would want to test, but may give you peace of mind.
I'd be comfortable with an ABRP prediction with that info. Charge a little bit higher than what ABRP suggests if possible at the charging stops before you hit the difficult legs of your trip.
The accuracy of the navigation apps depends on how many variables there are in weather, speed, and terrain. I have found ABRP to be pretty accurate with its predictions, but unusually cold temps, winds, or if you tend to drive faster can all create inaccuracies. You may need to slow down if you...
If your house was built in the '60s, you may have aluminum wiring on the stove and dryer circuits. The constant load of an EV charger was never a thought on any home wiring from that era.
I agree with some other posters to have a professional evaluate your situation and provide a professional...
