  2. 2024 Chevy Silverado EV

Really smart to sell to Enterprise first, spring 2023. Butts in seats=EV sales, everyone that drives one will want to buy one.
  3. Wave 1 Lightning Orders - Granger Ford

Some posters have stated that only a few pros will be sold, based on a bar graph in the dealer prep material posted here. This material did not, however, firmly state any numbers; nor did it say that these amounts were set in stone. In other sections the material clearly states that Ford will...

  10. White House releases plan to build nationwide network of 500,000 EV chargers

I wasn’t talking about me. All my EV charging happens at home, overnight. Actually more convenient than having to stop and get gas. I was referring to the people that are making EV ownership work despite having a few extra hurdles to jump. The rest of your post is just complete nonsense, pure...
  11. Where do you get your EV news?

I read, and comment on, Electrek just about daily. Always a fun and spirited discussion. Tesla crazy fanboys, and crazy Tesla haters notwithstanding. I’ve learned too much on there to not keep checking back in.
  12. White House releases plan to build nationwide network of 500,000 EV chargers

Agree with all of the above. It will however all be a moot point once we build out solar to the point we have the kWh coming out of our ears around 1-2 pm every day, ten years from now tops. Our increasingly EV fleet will be charging wherever they’re parked at that time of day, most likely at...
  13. White House releases plan to build nationwide network of 500,000 EV chargers

Still beats a polluting gas car, thumbs up from me to everyone thoughtful enough to sacrifice a little bit of convenience for a greater societal good.
  14. Fleet sales manager at dealer says they expect 40% range reduction at 70 mph + , Is that possible?

You’re absolutely correct. I think this misperception comes from people noticing improved range in city vs Hwy driving and crediting the Regen, when it’s actually caused by the much lower speeds averaged during city driving. 20s instead of 70s. So, it’s still a misperception, but an...
  15. Fleet sales manager at dealer says they expect 40% range reduction at 70 mph + , Is that possible?

None of us know, only Ford does. I am however 100% sure they gave these range estimates based on realistic highway travel speeds, like 65-70ish. Can’t even begin to imagine the backlash and negative publicity they would have to face if you could only do 40 to get the rated range. They are...
