This only resets the screen. It does nothing to reset the modem. Pulling fuse 32 is supposed to work. I actually pull the cable from the modem but don’t really suggest others do that.
What is your last OTA?. I fully believe now that they broke the system on an OTA which was not fixed until the enhanced stability or 10.x. I tested mine last weekend successfully but I am up to 10.1.1.
Yes, the Ford HIS is fully bi-directional and that functionality is fully supported. I will attach an image from the manual below, but the inverter can go DC->AC from the truck and AC->DC to the truck while in off-grid mode. I have tested this for hours, and the M-professional app even shows...
I agree that it sounds like the distance is no issue. One thing you might try when you have left the cable attached for a while is to try and "wake" the truck up by using the Ford Pass app right before you test the HIS. I suspect the modem is the issue in what you see, and doing a test like...
Thank you for the information. What was your last couple of OTA? I assume the Flash already had pretty recent updates.
I do think several of the issues are related to the truck modem, and re-doing the cable may "wake it up" You definitely might be on to something.
I believe it is either 6.14...
Update: I got the coolant and added about 1/4 gallon to get it about halfway between min/max. Ended up needing to drive about an hour and when I got home it had forced out the air. I was back down to where nothing could be seen. Added about another 1/4 gallon now to get back topped up, and...
On my road trip I used some Tesla chargers in Falmouth, ME.
I also had luck with a couple different Chargepoint in Belfast ME. They had some 50kW ones at a supermarket, and some 6kW ones at a place near the docks.
It was the seacoast area of NH that is a dead zone. Thank goodness for one gas...
Thank you!
So this appears to definitely be my issue. Coolant reserve is completely empty. Hope filling it up doesn't break my home integration system.
Ordered the correct one off Amazon for same day delivery.
I am sure I could research to find it, but does anyone have a quick response to what is the proper brand/type of coolant to use? I am pretty sure I have this same issue. I can hear the coolant sloshing around most days. I did have a battery replaced about 2 months before I really started to...
I am saying the hardware made by Delta is good. It seems to work consistently and has no issues.
I agree that the FCSP to truck bluetooth communication is a disaster. Based on what I have seen the issue with that is nearly all in the truck (as of current updates), both from a range standpoint...
Jim,
The Delta inverter connection to the truck is bi-directional, just like it is to the home battery system.
With the solar connected to the backup load panel (ac coupled) it will indeed come on and power the loads once it sees a simulated grid provided by the truck/inverter.
At that point if...
I don't think all the failures are the same issue.
The main issue is that truck won't communicate to the FCSP and basically won't come on (port light won't turn green). This issue is fixed via OTA somewhere on or around 6.14.
Almost all other issues are quick fix wiring and/or test procedure...
What a difference to TX which is for me 11.7 cents / kWh and I am averaging 2.3 miles / kWh. I don't know how you average 1.47 though. Even on a road trip from TX to Maine I saw my worst leg at 1.7-1.8 and that was driving most all of it above 70 mph with 4 people and the bed full of luggage...
So glad that your system is now working to provide power. I would say out of all the things listed, #2 was the most likely reason for success. It was also probably that your truck had the latest updates which are also key to the system working. Mine never worked prior to 6.14 and has always...
I got the same from Tomball Ford as if they really didn't care if they have my business or not. I was more of a burden to them.
I bought my truck in Sealy, but can't really recommend them either.
I did have my battery replaced at Mak Hiak and had an overall good experience with them. They...
The 12V battery only actively is charging while the truck is on, or the truck is actively charging (not just the cable plugged in). For instance if you have the FCSP charging at 19kW, you actually don't get a good charge on your 12V battery sometimes, because once you hit your charge limit it...
It’s a system like a sol-ark or others. Has 4 MPPT solar controllers, a home battery connection, and the truck connector. It also comes with a 200A automatic transfer switch. While there are some more elegant packages that came out this year it has all the same functionality.
With the truck...
