Well its a two edge sword. I opted for a aftermarket vs dealer. However, my Pro-power went on fritz, they left a connector loose and my back up sensors are wonky. If the dealer installed, most likely would not have the other issues but a cheaper bedliner??
The shipping label on mine says it was mailed to dealer. 12/18/24. Dealer then shipped it to my house. Maybe with the increased sales in Dec and Jan, they fell behind????
Per IRS website:
"At the time of sale, a seller must give you information about your vehicle's qualifications. Sellers must also register online and report the same information to the IRS. If they don't, your vehicle won't be eligible for the credit. For more information see Publication 5905...
The one thing i did like about my Toyota RAV4 EV was it had turtle mode. Basically at bottom of the SOC it went into turtle mode, this allowed you up to about 20 mph for a few miles to limp the vehicle home or a charging station. With a max 108 mile range, i used it a few times.
Agree on the issues for a 6 week old truck. Mine had a rear parking sensor fault, comes and goes, still. Next is the blind spot monitoring system threw a code over the weekend. Today, the turn signal indicators both hyper-flash. No burned out bulbs. So none of these are super crucial, but...
That seems kind of wonky that the dealer only had 72 hours to submit the VIN. Heck it took longer for my dealer to submit my license plate and registration paperwork to the state.
I agree, but taking the car to the dealership is a pain in the ass. Sometimes, with the help of these forums, this is a known issue and the answer may be a lot simpler that a torture session at the dealership. Just trying the simpler path first.
My turn signal indictors on the dash just started blinking fast when activated. All the actual turn signal lights are working. What could possibly cause this.
I have had an issue with blind spot assist and rear parking sensors. Are they all tied together?
I was expecting the worst from some of the comments I read here. However it went fine. Its not the smoothest process, but did not have to redo it or waste hours. Completed un under an hour, maybe 30 mins. Worst case was closed out app on phone and re-opened a few times, when it looked like...
I will also say I hooked up to WiFi today and could not find my paperwork. Charger number and passcode are under cover. Also some have said the front cover falls off when the cable hangs up on it. That also breaks the tabs.
I had heard the cover tabs on the FCSP were flimsy. Sure enough, I removed the cover this morning and one snapped off. I epoxied it back in place and reinforced all the other tabs with epoxy.
The charger worked flawlessly. First time I woke up to a fully charged vehicle. I did not hook to Wi-Fi, I may eventually try, but after it warms up in spring. LOL.
So as i have been told, you don't have to hook it up to the network, it would function as a dumb charger. What is the benefit of hooking it up to the network?
