Do you have some reason to believe your battery isn't holding a charge? If you are having battery issues you would be better off replacing the battery than putting it on a trickle charger. Unless, you have a recall that hasn't been fixed, your truck does a fine job of keeping the battery charged.
I am an incurious person who makes vehicle purchasing decisions based on what my favorite political news site instructs me to do so I assume this photo is demonstrating the entire towing range - the length of your driveway - of your golf cart "truck".?
I tried it with my S24 with no issues.
Have you tried restarting your phone and doing a Sync reset? Sync reset is accomplished by pressing and holding volume down and skip ahead on your steering wheel until the center screen goes blank.
It is an outlier. They used the same baseline criteria for all vehicles - EPA estimated range - and Lightning was the worst. If their baseline would have been "what online forums say range is" maybe Lightning would have fared better. It seems to me that EPA estimated range is a pretty good...
There are reasonable ways to set up a whole panel interlock to work with a Lightning and there's leaving it to future generations to figure it out. I don't have sympathy for the latter.
New to this whole truck thing? As long as there have been trucks there have been truck owners making fun of other trucks. We're all just eight year old boys.?
This is just untrue. There has been a lot written about the Generac 6853 because it works. It can't switch your whole home but the truck can't power your whole home so it doesn't really matter.
I'm sympathetic to people who want a cheaper solution but then I read things like this...
...and...
A properly wired power inlet box and panel interlock switch is not compatible with Pro Power Onboard.
Ford's system provides ground fault protection and is very sensitive. If ground touches neutral at any point in the circuit the truck will immediately stop delivering power. This is a problem...
Fun fact: platinum is a relatively soft metal which is why it makes sense that Ford names it's most comfy vehicles "Platinum".
I better not hear anyone else call my truck soft though. It's tough...TOUGH!
This is pretty much Ford's long term plan as far as I can tell.
Can you blame them? The current administration is rolling back CAFE standards, removing all recent EPA rules (this hasn't made the news yet), and wants to charge us for not burning oil while driving. Ford has perfected the pickup...
I've overloaded my truck for short trips. Best practices is to air up the tires and drive slow. You won't bend anything and power isn't an issue. Handling and braking is compromised.
If I'd have had a trailer I wouldn't have overloaded the bed.
Lightning is an F150 which helps it's cause to continue production as a low volume vehicle. It's on a separate production line than other F150s though. That can't help.
My guess is Ford produces the Lightning as long as they don't need to reengineer it. A new generation F150 would kill the...
All Platinum grilles chip, that is a whole other level!
Paint "defects" are covered under the 3/36 warranty. The chips from road debris that all Platinums get is not covered. What @Canada_Moose posted and @Pottsie describe is absolutely covered.
When you guys talk to the dealership, please ask...
Sunroofs started leaking shortly after they were invented.
I haven't had a leak in an F150 but I did replace the sunroof track that had failed after the plastic bits became brittle and broke. The newer style track with a bellows that blocks direct sun should mitigate this some.
You absolutely MUST set the dip switch on the FCSP to match the breaker and wiring of your specific installation. You MAY set the the app to some lower level if you have a reason to.
I trust software and Internet connections for a lot of things but fire protection for my house is not one of them.
