Make sure your headlights are set to "auto."
I had something like what you are describing happen and eventually I realized my truck was trying to tell me my headlights were on.
I don't know the details of the crashes being investigated but I won't let that stop me from speculating.
I hit a truck tire carcus while using an earlier version BlueCruise. There was no way to avoid it in the time and space available to brake and/or change course. I think it's unreasonable to...
Update: my truck charged to legit 100%. I'll take a peak at DTCs when I get a chance but maybe just a software glitch??
Update to the update: the SOC jumped back to 86% after I posted this.
This is strange because it appears the truck took 108kWh. After driving a few hundred feet it has lost...
That's the issue. Everyone here who has experienced this issue has received a new battery module. We'll see what the tech says whenever I can get it in the shop.
It's possible a bed topper could improve aerodynamics on a truck but extremely unlikely unless it was designed specifically for that purpose. I put the odds of me getting a hit off Tarik Skubol in the same category as an aero bed topper.?
I've seen sloped bed toppers before but never on an...
I don't think this is the same issue. My battery charges normally until about 87%, at which point it goes to 100% and stops charging. As soon as I start the truck the SOC jumps back to 87% and it works perfectly fine. No amount of resetting the charger or monkeying with charge settings can get...
We'll see how this plays out but I'm kicking myself a little for not charging to 100% more often. I routinely charge to 85% so if the issue has been around for awhile I haven't noticed it. I've been meaning to charge to 100% but I've forgotten to set it the few times I knew I had a drive in the...
As a data point, I don't experience any vibration with the Generals on my truck.
I don't need new tires yet but I'm interested in this thread. My fear in changing brands is they won't be as quiet.
I bought mine from Atchinson in Belleville. Based on my limited service experience with them, they would also be a good option but it's not very convenient for me.
I'm hoping someone will say, "Bell Ford in Adrian got me in right away and fixed it over my lunch break."?
I believe I probably need a battery module replaced. My truck charges to "100%" then quickly drops to 86% as soon as soon as it's started. This behavior is repeatable on different level 2 chargers. I haven't attempted DCFC.
Thankfully the truck still runs and I can choose where it's serviced...
The engineers tell owners the max payload but they don't tell the truck. Handling and braking are compromised and you might hit the bump stops. Be smart about it and it's not a big deal.
I routinely pressure wash the bed of my truck. It's fine.
The thing that isn't fine is the tailgate. I...
Have you attempted opening it with the button after it gets stuck? I observed the same behavior on my truck last week. I was using the cab button when it happened so I pressed it again and maybe a third time. Anyway, it eventually opened and closed and hasn't glitched since.
There is no aerodynamic explanation for any gain of efficiency by adding a bed topper, much less an 18% gain. All the topper does is move a low pressure area from behind the cab to behind the topper.
Ford claims the wide tailgate top reduces the low pressure area behind the cab so you're...
Maybe it updates less frequently depending on the SOC if your phone and/or power saving settings?
I haven't noticed the behavior @K6CCC is describing but I have noticed AA eats my phone battery quickly. I usually plug in while driving for that reason.
To some people it's not a "real truck" if it can't tow a bulldozer 500 miles without stopping. Nevermind that most personal 1500 size trucks rarely tow anything.
A lot of trucks are sold not because of how they will be used but how they could be used.
