My decision flow
- Pro Model Sold Out
- I don’t expect pro to become a priority if Lariats and Platinums continue to sell.
- Ford is likely to lose govt incentives on EVs before I will get to order
- BBB could potentially come back and put Lariat on the table if $12.5K rebate passes
- Rivian...
Yeah, the pro is the only thing I could consider at this point. I’m still having a hard time with the seats in the pro. I’m 5’9” and concerned I won’t be able to find the “right” seating position. Any good OEM aftermarket options out there?
That is the “dealer fee” which they classify as something different than ADM. ADM would be above and beyond dealer fee. Needless to say I’m switching my dealer.
DARCARS in Lanham, MD couldn’t say for sure if they will add ADM but will know Monday. They did say they are charging 2% dealer fee on top of MSRP.
I’m 23rd of 84 reservations - I’m looking for another dealer in Annapolis area. Just saw Sheehy in Gaithersburg not charging ADM - could be an...
I wanted leather, so I was hoping to be able to compare Lariat 510 ER, but its not a choice. I think both the XLT ER and Lariat ER are poor value compared to the R1T. Some may need the larger bed, but I don't.
I met and struck up conversations with several folks at the ride event in DC that was held at FEDEX field. Like on this board, I talked to them about pros/cons of Rivian/Lightning. The comment I heard from 4 other guys while waiting was - They all planned to get the XLT ER and all said they...

"Electric capability, more power on tap at an affordable price - Starting at an MSRP* of $39,974, F-150 Lightning Pro offers value and performance with standard range battery and dual motor power 4x4 targeting 426 horsepower** and a targeted EPA-estimated 230...
My Rivian reservation was made months ago.
I've been following for quite a while. I expected to be able to order the Lariat 510 with ER. This configuration would have been slightly less than Rivian and likely one I would have gone with depending on delivery date. Having the 511 package as...
Rivian has already given me my estimated delivery date - time will tell how accurate it will be. I made reservations for both knowing that I wanted to make a value comparison when the time came. Given my reservation # with Rivian, there is no risk of the tax incentive running out, as I'm well...
I don't think anyone is complaining about the Lightning itself. Its a good truck. Now that official pricing is out as well as build plan (minimal number of Pro Models), those like me can make a value proposition based on several factors. Price is a big one. Knowing that I don't need a full...
Rivian's wheelbase is 7 inches longer than the Ridgeline which puts it in between the F150 and Lightning. Considering the shorter bed and longer wheelbase, a good amount of the extra length is in the cab. Dimensionally, this actually is better for me than the Lightning as it fits better in my...
As I've posted on another thread, I'm in the exact same situation as you....and we aren't alone. I'm just hoping Rivian doesn't use Ford's pricing as justification to increase theirs.
