Most options are modular, meaning all infrastructure (wiring harness, bolt holes, etc) are already installed. A lot of the time you can go to the parts store and buy the parts to install an option yourself but I’m pretty sure the parts department’s can’t get these parts right now or they would be available for assembly. I’m hoping Ford will let us know when the missing parts are available but who knows at this point.

if you are willing to wait you should also be able to pull the parts off of wrecked F150Ls once they start showing up in salvage yards.

Been a lurker for a LONG time and figured I'd actually contribute for a change. Added my SR XLT order to the list. Mine has a blend date of 1/22 so I just made the cut for this build week. I've got my fingers crossed it'll arrive before March so I can take the full tax credit. Hoping that for all of you as well.

I apologize for probably a dumb question…

My build date is scheduled for the week of 1/16. As of today (1/19), it’s still showing “Scheduled for Production the week of 1/16/2023”

Is this normal? Should I be concerned about being bumped to another week if I haven’t been moved to production yet?

Lariat ER, max tow, tow tech, 511A. No other options.

Get your VIN from your dealer and download your window sticker. The window sticker has your blend date on it, the date your frame and body are connected. Things should happen pretty fast after the blend date.

you should read some of the other threads. There is information on how download your window sticker and how to track delivery once your truck is shipped. Once you have your VIN, you can upload it to Ford Pass to start getting additional information.

You want to look at your window sticker and find your blend date. Mine went to in production a day after my blend date, but 4 days after my build week day

That’s helpful; thanks! It looks like my blend date is 1/22/23, so hopefully I will see it go into production shortly thereafter.

My modules appeared on Saturday morning (a day earlier than my blend date) but still no tear tag just yet.

Wow uhh that didn't take long. Got my tear tag today! Tear tag signifies the build is done and just awaiting any accessories right? I'm getting a spray-in bed liner.

Just received a built date of 1/21/2023 which is kind of strange because production now has a green check box with a 1/22/2023 date.

My web page changed and they added in a “scheduled week of” line. 1/21/2023 is now in the “in production” line and there is no date in the “built” line. Looks like someone jumped the gun and labeled the truck as built.

Looks like I got pushed a week.

Per the window sticker I have a blend date of 1/18, per the vehicle tracking web site a “scheduled for Production date” week of 1/18 and “In Production date” of 1/18 (green dot). I’m going to assume, based on information in this thread, that this web site is not really accurate or current and tasks are happening or have happened before this web site gets updated. Talk to your dealer as they have access to accurate information from the factory.
I’m not sure what a tear date is or where I get that information, if anyone knows let me know.
Patience is a virtue when ordering a Lightning.

I have a tear tag and the modules populated, but on Ford’s reservations website, it’s still not showing my truck is even in production. Very strange.

As additional info, my production week is still showing week of 1/16/23 and my blend date is 1/22/23. My tear tag is CRL5, whatever that means.

MODULES
Motorcraft Build Data - Use VIN# - Will Show BCE Codes Populated After Build
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

PCM = Powertrain Control Module; BCE = Body Control Electronics

While we sit and wait wondering if our Lightning has been built yet, we can check if our "modules have popped". Ford has an online as built service site that shows your BCE modules. If your VIN starts showing something, it means your computers are "alive" and your Lightning has, or mostly, has been built.

Modules have been taking longer than before to populate. This use to happen within hours of being built, there is current evidence this system now has some lag and can take a couple days to populate. It is still useful to verify the Lightning has been produced, especially if you have a delayed Build email due to QA issue etc.

Thanks for the information, I went to the web site and there is a lot of BCE data, so it looks like the truck has been built, no PCM data.
