I know not the same thing, but the Gator flush trifold cover I've had for 26k miles is really leaking a lot more at the edges now which makes leaving thing in the bed that can't get wet a problem. I could use the option for the rack for sure with a 12' wooden canoe being a transportation pain. But that use case is rarely a driver and I really want a better water resistant cover. I've had the covers in the past the close down on the bed rails in the past that seemed better wet protector then these flush ones.

Having the option to add a rack without hassle is a game changer, especially when hauling something twice the length of your truck bed. With the new structural design of the MX4 TS, you'll find that the weather resistance has been significantly improved upon.

Your current cover may need to have the seals refreshed to help with the water intrusions. PM me or email me at [email protected]- whether you're seriously considering an upgrade or just want to refresh your current cover, I'd be happy to go over your options with you!

I just ordered the MX4 TS from my local installer, looking forward to getting it in a few days.

I have a few questions I couldn't figure out from the RealTruck.com website, re: the Elevate system:

1. What is the recommend max weight limit for the load on the Elevate Racks if one does NOT buy the available "Side Bars" braces for an extra $250? (Assume the load is well balanced and I would only be on paved roads, below 70 mph freeway speeds)

2. What is the recommend max weight limit for the load on top of the Elevate Racks if one DOES use the available "Side Bars" braces? (Same assumptions as above)

3. Are the side braces adjustable in length, or a single fixed length?
(If the latter, what length are they? )

Thanks

That's awesome! From the sounds of it, you've got a great idea for a solid build in mind. I can't wait to see it all come together!

These are great questions about the RealTruck Elevate Rack. The static weight limit for the FS rack is 750-lbs., on-road is 500-lbs., and off-road is 250-lbs. The RealTruck Elevate Rack Side Bars provide an extra leg of T-channels so that you can attach additional accessories, like recovery gear and rotopax. They don't add to the weight rating of the rack.

The uprights of the FS rack are movable along your T-channels so that you can customize to work for the load that you're hauling.
