Somebody with first hand experience has to counter negative BS being spouted.

Unless you have first hand knowledge, I’ld suggest you be skeptical of the AI and YouTube posts. A lot of that is all about the clicks.
So since you have first hand experience, by all means, please DO enlighten us morons as to how the battery is designed, where their heating elements and temperature sensors are placed.

I'm only going by what Ohmmu shows in their own video.

Just one more point of reference. Optima has probably been selling lithium 12v car batteries longer than anyone and premium agm batteries for even longer, and while they are willing to sell you a range of batteries for your ICE 150, they don’t recommend any of their products for the EV Lightning.
Then again, how much is related to them not having a 35-40Ah H3 size battery vs. them saying "oh we don't have anything that works with your vehicle for technical reasons" ?
If you pick the E-Transit instead they list both the Orange-top (lithium) and yellow-top (AGM) as options and I doubt that the E-Transit is radically different in design compared to Mach-E and the LIghtning.

Sounds to me like the lithium battery may be ok for the daily driver where it's charge is kept up every day. But those of us with multiple vehicles that may be sitting around in the cold then forget it. That has been my problem and the Prius battery I took out was the original from 2013. I parked it on Sep 30 when I got my truck. Maybe drove it 2 or 3 times but never enough to get a full charge in it. So that battery was waiting for something bad to happen with all the parasitic drain they have.

Ended up getting a NEver Start, a/k/a Never Ever Start Walmart battery. Should be fine for whoever the new buyer will be. Got about 13 years out of the Toyota battery so can't complain about that. I put Optima yellow tops in the 2008 Prius when we and then our daughter had it but I'm not sure they were worth the extra cost and they were lead acid.
