12V battery replacement

Has anyone replaced the 12v battery with a LiFePo4 battery like this one? 12V Lithium Battery for Ford F-150 Lightning | ohmmu.com I'm thinking this would help with updates not occurring due to low 12v battery voltage.

There’s been speculation that the system that maintains 12V battery charge is programmed for SLA architecture and won’t work well with other chemistries. I’d really like for someone to try this and either prove or disprove it.

I keep my Leaf 12v battery on a trickle charger. The 12v in the Leaf is only charged back up when the vehicle is on otherwise. So I had it go dead when I went on longish vacation one year - the charge timer and telemetrics drained it, mostly the charge timer. Nissan issued a recommendation later that said turn off the charge timer if you have to leave the Leaf parked and off for more than a few weeks.

A trickle charger is a lot cheaper than a new 12v battery.

I just upgraded to the H3+ Ohmmu LiFePo4 battery. I set the config for the lightning and reset the Cars BMS. Ohmmu has developed a battery management system that requires no changes to Lightning. It thinks it’s just another AGM battery. My initial impression is good. I really like the App and the Bluetooth connection to the battery internal data. I was shocked at the improvement to the audio quality. I have the Platinum with the high end audio and the Ohmmu really makes the system better. More defined bass and cleaner definition. Vey happy with this investment.

Interesting comment about improved audio quality. Curious why... Higher voltage?

Higher Voltage but more importantly less Sag under load. Also battery noise is lower.
