Has anyone installed a 2” rough country level kit on their lightning at all? If so how has the experience been with it? Been thinking of putting a 2” level kit on mine and a friend at work says he has a spare kit he can give me as he got 2 kits in error from RC.

I installed mine on my ‘25. I didn’t have my truck for more than a couple of weeks so didn’t have much data as to whether it affected efficiency. I much prefer the look but I think the one trade off is the turning radius seems to have been negatively affected. I have also read this somewhere on the F150 Forum but this could also be in my head. I won’t be going back though so that might provide some insight of how much of an impact it has on the radius.

Yes, I had it for 2.5 years. My tires were not wearing evenly, make sure you get an alignment after. Just this week I got new tires and decided to remove the puck and use shocks instead (Eibach). I already like it better. From what I've read and the mechanics I've talked to, this is the better way on an F150. They're relatively cheap and my ride is better already. If I had to do it again, I would pick the shocks over the pucks.

So was it the pucks causing the issue or not getting an alignment after ?

I'm not entirely sure. Keep in mind I'm not too versed in this area, but from my research it appears that the F150 doesn't do as well with pucks as other brands, such as the Toyota Tundra. I used to have a Tundra with pucks for 15 years without a single issue. So I put them on the Lightning and I had several issues. The tires didn't wear evenly so after a while I got it aligned with the machine. The truck was way out of alignment (BUT, when they put the pucks in, they aligned the truck, so maybe the pucks messed up the alignment over time - don't know, not an expert). After the alignment, I was getting a knocking sound when I'd turn the wheel all the way or sometimes randomly for 2 months. Anyways, with the new tires I decided to remove the pucks and use the shocks. It's only been 3 days, but so far - no noise or issues when turning or driving, less bounce/smoother ride, truck seems to sit perfectly level on the ground. I used 2.1 height, or 4th ring out of 5th, so not fully level.

I like the idea of the Eibach strut replacement in place of the pucks. Can you share what you replaced the factory with and do you mind sharing what you paid to get it done?

I am going to do a full write up in a few days, grab some pics and lay it all out for everyone. In the meantime, to answer your question, I got the E60-35-061-01-10 shocks on front only. They are 149 each x2. Labor was $686 on it because they had to remove the old pucks, install and adjust height.

Got method wheels and new Toyo EV tires. Hang tight, I will do a complete write up for everyone!

Any update for us on your shock upgrade? I have the pucks on my new ‘25 Pro but thinking I would like to make this upgrade. Thanks for your help and looking forward to your impressions and write up.

Sorry for the delay. Someone busted my taillight and I'm waiting for the part to be ready to install next week to finish this work, wash the truck, and take some pics for the write up.

On the shocks, I'm totally happy. I guess it's less bouncy, hard for me to tell, but it rides super nice. I would go with shocks again, it seems like that's the better option. I'm pleased.

I just put the RC 2" leveling kit on my 24, along with 275/65R20 Toyo Open Country ATIII EV tires. Loving it so far! The ride, and noise are different, but very tolerable, nothing like my prior Ram with E rated tires. Truly a joy to drive and still rips like before! Let me know if you have specific questions.

Little too early to say, will report back once I have a few more miles. Not seeing much difference so far though. Cold weather may be a different story, we shall see.
