Check with Granger. From the impression on here you can pick up the Ford ESP for somewhat similar terms.Right, which was sort of my point. The inexpensive plans don't really cover much that isn't already covered, and the ones that would get very pricey.
I honestly think that these Ford plans are better investments when buying used, because in that case the warranty begins at date of used purchase, and not date of FIRST purchase, in which case it becomes very useful. Example: The truck I traded for this lightning was a F-250. I bought it at 81k miles on the odometer and 5 years of age. I purchased a Ford ExtraCare ESP for $2,400. Over the next two years and 24,000 miles that extended warranty covered a $3,000 oil pan leak repair and a $800 BCM replacement plus labor. The warranty was still in effect for another 2 years and 24,000 miles if I hadn't traded the truck. I could have elected to buy longer coverage that would have covered the truck beyond 150k miles.
Seems that there is no way to do that on a new Lightning purchase.
Oh there definitely is an extended warranty, and if buying used it's an excellent thing to purchase.
