I test printed the f150 on the tailgate in PLA to see if I like it. I was going for a look that matches the factory logos. I’m going to reprint it thicker and with PETG. Has anyone found a PETG the matches the blue?

@oafydude28 , if you find a final solution, please repost. I'd like to fill mine in with the design you've shared. Having the blue a little deeper would be nice. I assume the material specification is a better printer material for the weather...

I ended up going with ASA filament since it has better UV resistance. The Blue is alittle lighter but not enough to look off. Well at least to my eyes. I used the Bamboo slicer and printer for this. I doubled the thickness and then painted the bottom .2 mm the face of the logo. The model has rounded corners so you can see the blue edge even when looting at it strait on.

blue edge was printed or painted? looks really good. debating on having a neighbor help print if I can get the blue printed. I think if I paint it it'll start looking bad really quick.

how did you do the tape? the whole backside is tape or just the edge?

Nice work! I actually test printed the F-150 for my tailgate in PLA too, just to get a feel for the look trying to match the factory logos. I’m planning to redo it thicker in PETG. Has anyone found a PETG that’s a good color match for the Ford blue?

It is printed in 2 different colors the black is only 1 layer thick.

Check out Polymaker™ Electric Blue PETG. It's pretty dang close to the original

Yup... I second this recommendation. It's the one I use for my stuff and I would say it's almost dead on.
