Driving after dark comes with serious risks. According to the NSC, fatal crashes peak between 8:00 and 11:59 PM in the spring and summer months (Source: NSC).

The NHTSA reports that in the U.S., even though only about 25% of driving happens in the dark, 49% of passenger vehicle fatalities occur at night. This means the fatality rate per mile is roughly three times higher at night than during the day (Source: NHTSA).

🚗 If you can’t control the lighting or other drivers’ risky behavior, there’s another option: recording the road. Having that footage can provide strong protection, preserving evidence in case of an accident and helping ensure accountability.

To capture clear footage at night, the F17 Elite is the world’s first dash cam designed to record in ultra-color 24/7. The 4K front camera and 2.5K rear camera both support dual HDR and feature STARVIS 2 image enhancement. The cabin camera uses innovative technology to capture colors that look like daylight, even in low light conditions.

We’re now offering 40% off the F17 Elite!

LOL. I read this as "HALF of all fatal crashes happen during HALF of the 24 hour cycle."

Well. Yeah.

Well. Yeah.
I was thinking, so 51% happen during the day? Sounds like, technically, it’s more dangerous during the day….

Some 83% or more of all driving occurs during the day... An even split of fatal accidents between day and night means night driving is quite a bit more dangerous.

Um, unless I'm reading it wrong from 8pm to 11:59 pm is NOT half of the 24 hr cycle.
Hence the " This means the fatality rate per mile is roughly three times higher at night than during the day"
